Corvettes use VeryLight armor and COMPOSITE weapons.  Titans use Titan armor and TITAN weapons.

Here's TITAN DamagePercentBonuses:

DamagePercentBonus:TITAN:Light 1.0

As you can see they're effective against everything.

IIRC, the lasers and missiles on corvettes are, as said earlier, composite weapon types....the autocannons I believe are anti-light weapon types...

An interesting idea (if it isn't already implemented) would be to make the anti-light autocannons also able to target SC...

Then we'd have a damn good counter against LRF and bomber spam...

The Corvettes are actually able to target strike craft already. At least they did in the single player games that I played. I use them a lot, to be honest. Kinda like that they are cheap and they seem to be quite effective in keeping the rest of the fleet alive since they draw all the enemy fire most of the time.

Nothing. Capital ships are next best at 0.95, followed by medium (i belive thats LRM's), at 0.7, everything else is 0.45-0.55.

Worth pointing out that you need to consider both the damage table and the dps of relevant ships...this puts lrfs at even more of anadvantage since they have an exceptionally high base dps

I presumed everyone could have figured that out themselves but i should have mentioned it, your right.

 

This also demonstrates why corvettes vs titans is so horribad too, the corvettes, (and heavy cruisers) have a 0.55 multiplier.

Why, it's pretty obvious from their era of avalability and their weakness they are not remotly meant in any way shape or form to be anything other than chow for a titan. Right nowm, even without the damage table effects on corvette weapons the titan vs corvette system is the hardest counter in existance. Titans are set up perfectly to mass murer corvettes with impunity. Altering them so they're only effective vs strikecraft, LRM's and titans just pushes their usefulness down even more. Right now Titans are the only thing they're not efective against, whilst the damage types makes the excellent LRM and bomber killers besides.
