#3 Random Complaint Threads are too random, I prefer to be specific when I bitch about something.;)

#4 what happened to the 90's and why cant they come back.  No reality TV crap shows, PC games with out DMR, no DLC, no MMO's, innovation was booming, and beer was cheaper.

Why?

I mean, really...just...why?

#5...Why can't tomorrow be tomorrow all the time instead of today when it gets here. Sheesh!

And when somebody promises that something will be delivered 'tomorrow' it actually happens

Also, that when it doesn't happen, there isn't a weekend immediately after.  That way you don't have 2 extra days to wait and get it on the next tomorrow instead.

My other complaint.... the proposed carbon tax here in Oz, it's bloody stupid and will do nothing to reduce pollution. >:(

Retrieving Gina's 6 billion EXTRA PERSONAL profit from last year [over and above her previous worth] will do a shit-load towards it.

That cow is raping Australia's resources for her own personal gain, no-one else's.

It's my country too.

Our Prime Minister is a OK. I like him, sort of. Don't see enough of him as far as I'm concerned. {secrets} But, as far as I know, no tetons on him.

'TAX'- Property, income, sales, capital gains, etc. and how the local, state and federal government (U.S) pisses it away and then demands more!

And what happens when corporations send 1000's of Aussie jobs offshore to avoid this tax?  No only will unemployment go through the roof, the economy will go down the toilet as imports climb dramatically while exports decline due to manufacturers deserting the sinking ship.

And will you be happy to pay an extra 30% for power next year because the carbon tax has to be absorbed by the user rather than the initial polluter?  And when electricity rises, so does everything else... food, clothing, petrol... everything that's manufactured here

Seems to me, this stupid government will spend more on administration and compensating people than will go toward pollution reduction.

And when you consider petrol is now exempt from the carbon tax, the validity of this pollution reduction scheme has to seriously be questioned.... given that traffic pollution is the greatest contributor to the overall pollution here in Oz.  No, that's just a sweetener to make it a little more palatable.  However, petrol won't be exempt for long, not once JuLiar yet again gives in to Bob [poop shute] Brown and breaks yet another promise.

Frankly, I dislike corporations, wealthy CEO's and mining magnates [Gina] as much as the next bloke, probably heaps more than the next bloke, but this carbon tax is more about the redistribution of wealth than clean air, and is clearly the wrong way to go about it because the paying public will suffer.  Corporations won't absorb it, they'll pass it on to you and I... and I can't afford it.

Yes, I recently spent $800 on computer parts, but that's a result of 2 + years saving and being frugal/sacrificing elsewhere... not running a car and paying through the nose for rego and insurance.  My next upgrade could be many more years than that, with higher prices across the board as a result of this crock of shite carbon tax and the Aussie dollar suffering a huge downward slide against the greenback because our economy can no longer compete within the greater world economy.  In other words, this tax is economic suicide, not just for corporations but the public at large.

Ouch! I don't have a clue about your tax rates versus the U.S. but I'm curious now. Time to do some searching/reading on AU.... :|

Sucked in by the Liberal's bullshit, I see.

How many people in your family/household?

Multiply that by $250 and that's how much money one rich bitch has taken from YOU and your country's resources....no, not aiding manufacture/employment...HER PERSONAL WEALTH....HER PERSONAL POCKET.

Every effing man woman and child in the country had $250 taken out of THEIR asset wealth and into hers....in JUST ONE YEAR.

Next year it will be even MORE obscene.

Call the bloody thing a Gina Reinhart tax and be done with it..... probably pay to screw Rupert Murdoch at the same time....he's an arsehole too.

And while we arse about playing funny buggers the Chinese and Japanese are buying our country because the past Liberal govts were more interested in keeping their fat-cat mates happy than letting Aussies actually OWN THEIR COUNTRY.

She still says using nuclear explosions for mining is one of her better ideas. At least she is spending millions to get Andrew Bolt on the TV so 'us' Aussies can be educated in the proper way of thinking ... greed is good.

On a different note...

Kids....the button on the front of the computer is NOT how you turn it off.

You need to follow MS's "logic" and click on 'Start' instead.

Can you imagine just how much shit you cause a machine by hitting the Off button?

It took forever to get it all working again...

Sys was in a loop of 'win didn't shutdown normally'...no option got out of it.

Sys restore failed totally.

chkdsk took around an hour.

fixboot at least convinced it to start.

Single beep code after windows starts....not a mem reseat issue...probably just the MoBo [un]quietly dying.

My in-laws need to get a new machine.....or a new fixit patsy....

...or both.

Oh...and meanwhile...bloody Norton....monumentally screwed yet again.

At least the uninstaller download cleaned it off....naturally because it was fubared the Net was inaccessible so the remover had to be dl'd elsewhere.

None of them is really the sharpest knife in the drawer....;p

Nope, I don't need the budgie smuggler's lot to tell me that this proposed tax is a crock and wrong to the enth degree.  I studied history, geography, geology and economics and anyone who only half listened to the teacher in these subjects knows that mad made global warming is a complete fallacy devised by greed driven people to manipulate the masses.

The recent Icelandic and Chilean volcanoes dumped more carbon into the atmosphere than all of man's combined endeavours for the last 100 years... and this is what juLiar wants ever man, woman and child in Australia to pay for.... natural events that have happened since the dawn of time. She is Prime Minister only by virtue of 3 independents and the greens who otherwise would never taste power.... because she bent over for Bob poofter Brown.  Yup, she made a deal with the devil there, and will remain Prime Minister only if she continues the please him.

I despise these parasites intensely, they bleed us dry with their greed, but I cannot condone a tax, whether it disadvantages them or not, that financially screws with the household finances of Aussie battlers.... and believe me, it will.  What Reinhart has ripped us off for will be a mere drip in the ocean by comparison, and once it is passed into law this thieving tax will royally screw future generations as it grows in size and scope.

Remember the airport tax, and the fuel tax levied on airfares.. the one that was supposed to help keep Ansett Airlines afloat?  Yup, we're still paying it 30 plus years later, despite the fact that Ansett went belly up in the late 70's  No tax is temporary once it is in place... and no tax ever shrinks, but rather it grows to suit the needs and agenda of which ever party is the incumbent government of the day.

Yup, Gillard should go back to Wales... and effing well STAY there... and take all her party cohorts as well.>:(

All this from a formerly staunch Labor voter.

The contents of my grocery items shrinking, the containers staying the same size and the price going up....oh, and coffee prices, jeez louise!

Gas stays the same price or goes up as the price of crude falls...

That girl at Hardee's drive thru this morning that gave me the wrong breakfast order. (reminder: always check your bag before you get home....)
