No mods folder and in-game

Hi. After downloading and extracting a mod I remember that you do send it to users appdata ironclad folder inside the mods correct? Well, I just recently reinstalled sins after a 9month hiatus and now their is no mods folder for my sins, I tried reinstalling the game but there is still no folder. Also, the mods option in-game is no longer available. I have the 1.00 original retail version. Impulse updates says that I am up to date on sins to the current patch, but when I go to play the game it still says I am running 1.00 verses 1.91. Weird. Is there any way to manually download the latest patch? Thnx

You have to go to Options/Mods in game and click "Show Mod Path" That will create the folder for mods. If I remember correctly, you'll need to restart the game for them to show up after you stick them in the folder.

Did you bother to read what he typed?  His Sins is version 1.00, which was before mod support was added.  That however, is not his issue since he presumably knows that.  His issue is that Impulse thinks his 1.00 version of Sins of a Solar Empire is actually 1.191 and so cannot update his Sins to its latest version.  I would suggest the OP searches for a download of the 1.05 patch for Sins of a Solar Empire, installs that while Impulse is not running, then starts Impulse back up to see if Impulse recognizes the version change.
