how to unlock the new demigods

You need to play a game online. You /may/ need one other human, but I think a lobby full of AI works as well.

but thats my problem. If I am in the lobby, still nothing changes. Maybe I really have to play one game against other human players and then I might be able to select them.

Not just go in the lobby, you actually have to start and complete one game.

No, you just have to finish it. I'm 80% sure it can just be against AI. Set the game settings to something like Level 20, Starting Gold Filthy Rich, low tower and creep strength, high ai gold and easy ai and then win in a few minutes by farming the AI, buying a bunch of artifacts then downing the citadel in about 15 seconds. 

We played a 2vs2 against the AI this morning (myself and Ed). Neither of us have access to oculus or Demon Assassin. We won the game and still can't select either of the two heroes in both single or multiplayer.

Try to start Demigod as Administrator and complete another game. After that, close Demigod and start it as Administrator again and check if you can select them (in Multiplayer).

Did that already - no dice.

I also had my demigods grayed out on LAN, so I did the following:

1. Clicked the multiplayer-internet button (forgot what its called) and logged in with my account-name.

2. Hosted a password-protected game, added atleast two AI's, selecting Oculus and Demon Assassin.

3. Started a game

4. Quit the game as soon I could move my character.

5. Started a LAN game, and voila, Oculus and Demon Assassin were selectable.

We had some 'things' happening on our end that have been cleared up.  Anyone trying to activate the Demon Assassin or Oculus, log into multiplayer again, and it should work.  Sorry about any inconvenience.

Have you ever managed to solve this? I got the exact same problem.

If you want them unlocked on multiplayer, contact stardock support or try playing a match in multiplayer. If they won't be unlocked - contact them.

For single player or LAN only. Go to start -> Run. "regedit". HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\ImpulseReactor\Demigod\DLC. On the right there are 10 strings. Each has value on right of "0" or "1". They all should contain "1" to get all demigods unlocked. So change 9 and 10 string values to "1".

Edit. Oh and he solved it, but... He very rarely plays now, so not sure how. But I think stardock support sent some other file or something later.
