connecting problem!

I recently purchased sins of a solar empire from a store, and the online doesnt work. When I go to the ironclad network login in the game it has a connection error "Cannot connect to ironclad network". I have been looking for awhile on google for some hint as to what to do, but everyone else reports that they still get to sign in and actually see who is signed in (if any from what I hear) I have already made sure that my firewall has no problems with sins, and same with the firewall on my telus modem. I don't generally buy games, but this game was to much to resist....and this! somebody please help

Have you updated your game to the most recent version? To log on to ICO you must have the most recent version.


You can get the updates from www.impulsedriven.com. Install the client, register your game. Download and enjoy.

i used the launcher from the game and it installed 1.0.5.0 If that is the current version, then yes.

go to the link posted above, download impulse, register and download the latest patch. you can dump impulse afterwards if you wish.

It's good to just keep it installed for further updates.  Impulse is relativley benign and you can set it so that it will not automatically load at startup.  Also, you don't need to run it to play the game, only for patching.

Thank you very much, that was exactly what it was. The auto-run launch screen update was a very old one apparantly. Using Impulse completely updated my Sin.
