I managed to get the 640mb in an hour and a half.

 got  to like the 1.5mbit speeds, but want even faster

I managed to get a copy of it before it cut out again, so as Kaolbrec mentioned a few days ago we'll get it up on our site as soon as possible (unless someone in the mod team requests we don't). The upload speed is rather slow (60KB/s) but will post a link as soon as it's successfully uploaded.

 

EDIT: It reckons it has ~2 hours left to upload.

harpo is a long standing member of this community and I would fully endorse any mirror supplied. I will see if I can get it in the OP. Sorry but any other mirrors I will not endorse.

My 1tb harddrive failed with all my project files for the UI and the music and sound bytes so it will take quite a while b4 I can continue from where I left off so remember that this is a pre-release.

Question, I managed to get this before the link went down again but even though Diplomacy says it is loaded (latest release) It doesn't seem to be appling any changes to Sins?  It is enabled but the checksum says it is 0 (I don't know much about that but it usually changes to a long number when I load mods).  I assumed this mod would introduce star trek races and ships correct?

hello everyone

 

Hope everyone has been enjoying the pre-release version of SoA 2 !!!  Alot has changed since the pre - release.  Which is now going to be removed as my dropbox account is shutdown per too much activity. We will be updating the link with a stand alone link from a reliable download provider soon.  All we ask for is patience untill this can be done. Also i agree with myfist  harpo can mirror all he likes. But others are not permited.

I've sometimes upacked mods into another layer of folders by accident, and that's exactly what happens to me.  Go into the mod through windows explorer and see if you have to do something like Soa2 -> Soa2 -> various folders filled with goodies.  If you do, pull the second Soa2 folder out and place that in the appropriate mods folder for the game (a cut & paste would likely work best to save hard drive space).

but it's just a duplicate upload, it does everyone a favor and doesn't really benefit the uploader himself besides giving some extra traffic IF he puts it on his own site.
