Diplomacy Beta Question

So, i saw the news that the Diplomacy Beta is out today (monday)

If anyone has installed it yet, im wondering if it will overwrite Entrenchment or if it will install seperately so i can play the beta then continue with Entrenchment and the mods i am using

Any help is appreciated

I don't think anyone has installed it yet. As of right now it's still Sunday night here in North America, about 8 PM at Ironclad. So still about 20ish hours I'd say until it gets released.

That being said, I would like an answer to this questions as well.

you can make a copy of sins if you wish,

we did that during the Entrenchment beta and I plan on doing that again

just copy, paste, and rename

Well, seeing as how they already have the setup to do the expansions seperately, and are probably working on patches for Entrench and Diplomacy concurrently, it'll probably install like Entrenchment does. I.E. seperately.

it just showed up in my account

oddly I was charged twice for it :annoyed: emailed customer service to figure out what happened (only pre-purchased it once along with Elemental)

Downloaded it last night. I run it through Impulse and it does not overwrite your Entrenchment just like Entrenchment didn't overwrite the original. You can load up any of the 3 and they will preserve what they originally had. The new Diplomacy one is pretty cool with a new Diplomacy research tree. Haven't gotten too far just yet but looking forward to some long games.

actually, entrenchment beta did sort of overwrite the original. at least once you had that you could not play normal sins any more and the separation option only come with the manifest module (which I think also deals with mods) of the final version. but with that now in place, I am pretty sure it's not an issue anymore.
