ICO Hacker

Hello Ironclad and Stardock.

The ICO hacker, as I've been told was the cause of the issues the today, has been increasingly annoying and has persisted in his immaturity.

If at all possible I would like a suit filed against him civil,criminal, or otherwise.

That's jsut so he understands, life has consequences.

Also, I think the community would like to know what will happen to remedy the problem and what will gbe done in the future to prevent it.

(Don't be too specific as not to give people Ideas)

Did I miss something?  Am I being trolled?  Yeah, ICO has issues, didn't know it was the result of someone hacking it.

If I read the forums correctly, at least one ussue with ICO last night was that it kicked everyone off at some point.  However, I think that was because a new version of ICO was uploaded and the system had to reboot for it to take effect.  Check the posts near the bottom of this page:

I could be totally off though, or there might be another problem I'm not aware of.

There was a brief downtime (preceded by a server notice to all online players) late last night while IC put up an interim build of ICO with some of the changes from the coming update.

There was no hacker that I'm aware of. ICO was taken down to put a new build up that resolved connection issues for a few players.

Fraiser, no disrespect but how do you explain the messages such as "_God is not god. I am god"

And "I am being terminated....somthign ro other"

The ICO server had been spamming these types of messages like 6 times in less than a second server-wide

And it attempted to ban Joker_Of_Sin

Any idea what caused this?

Whatever it was it was causing severe problems for the people in gae and caused many dcs and minidumps
