QoT thorn shield and armor

Has anyone tested whether her shield absorbs direct damage or does it go through armor first and is reduced before it is absorbed by her shield?

I am pretty sure armor has no effect on her shield.

Shield comes first. As in the first 1500 dmg goes to the shield, when the shield is down, then armor/hp kick in normally
