Seriously. I am so fed up with this games multiplayer. I think i would have an easier time paying for people to fly out to my house and setup a lan, then pay for them to fly home after each match. Sitting there looking at the connection window crossing your fingers in hope that it works and nothing bad happens is not how this should be. And what is it about this game that makes my 150 -180 ping so umbearable? Ive got wireless interent so my ping is going to be a little higher than everyone elses. Am i really the person causing a 2v2 to lag to hell with a 180 ping? If so then i am greatly angered because i can play EVERY other PC game i own online perfectly fine, with no lag. Sins, COH, cod4 just to name a few.

 

Theres a max of 20 games being hosted whenever i "TRY" to play online. Get some damn servers.

Wireless sucks for gaming.  Plug in your ethernet cable.

also.  Im having no issues connection,  Try opening ports in your firewall, that helps

6037 udp and tcp I think is the main port for hosting, and I thnik 6100-6200 udp and tcp

why don't you think about a solution to help your issues instead of bitching about it, in case you havent realized they have been working around the clock to try and satisfy bitches like you.  The game works fine, maybe your computer sucks,

tip:  playing anything bigger than 3vs3 is flaky at best. 


basically what im trying to say, without trying to flame even though I always do, is try to exhaust all possible options before coming on their forum and bitching that you got scammed.  because you didnt.

False! Been wireless gaming on laptop for almost 4 years now without a single problem. Including many MMO's, TF2, BF2; all while using Skype or Vent, Xfire, all at the same time.

Wireless only adds about 10ms or so in my experience.  Wireless is not to blame for your connection if you're going 150-180ms to everyone.

Also, there are much more than 20 games at any one time.

1) You do not see games that have started

2) You do not see full servers

If you want to see the FULL list of games, you'll need to do that from within Impulse.  Do a search to find out how.

Other than that, not much more can be said about it.  Stardock knows there is an issue and has addressed it openly and frankly with the community several times.  They aren't hiding the ball and you aren't going to magically prod them into action (they are on it).  It's disappointing and frustrating but thems da apples.

Heh, wait and see how it is when you have spikes of 500-1000 ping and you destroy everyone's game. :) Be glad that you can play the game, i can't. I'm waiting for the proxy servers, hoping that will help in my case, but i doubt it.

Yeah im pretty sure wireless doesnt suck for gaming. As i stated i can play every other game fine online, Please try and read the whole statement before you make yourself look like a fool. As for my computer, im gonna just say its better than yours, because it is.

 

In Sins, COD4, and COH i always get 150-180 ping and it NEVER lags. Gonna go out on a limb and say its this games MP that is messed up. If even 2 people have a large ping to eachother then the game is screwed. I love this game and just want a STABLE easy to use, no hassle online gaming experience.

Yeah i do have times where my ping does that, but it doesnt last long. Why cant you play? And at this point, id rather not play than get 1 working game out of 338 tries.

Because in 4 out of 5 games i have this problem. The most failed ones are the the 5v5 matches. I can't play because i have these very high spikes, 700-1400, lasting a few seconds, then normal again, then again with the spikes, and so on...In this time, the game freezes (for everyone) and usually the players quit the game in anger, not before asking me not so politely to stop downloading p0rn. :\

And it's not my connection, because i play a lot of other games online, and don't have this weird problem.
