Custom games and skirmish aren't working..at all. I know you guys are on some kind of weekend hiatus, but uh..dead MP for a weekend is pretty much going to be the death knell for this game.
yea I can't play either.....Custom game lobby when I try to host it shits out on me. Think I'm going to sell my copy to a rich homeless guy and tell all my friends this game sucks.
I just downloaded a new update - not the one they put up last night - so maybe they had to temporarily disable multiplayer while they put up the new update.
its not telling me about any patch and im sitting in impulse. Anyway to patch demigod w/o this POS impulse?

Seriously, would you like help or not? Impulse is the platform used to "manage" your Demigod installation. It is the only way to patch the game.
Please try closing Impulse (including the tray icon)....then restarting Impulse. If you've tried that, then you could try a "verify installation" of Demigod.
Failing that a "reset data" might give the desired results.....or a final step like un-installing and re-installing Impulse using the "full-setup" for Impulse found here:

and in 5 years or 10 years time when I go to play demigod, will impulse still be around to deliver the patches?
this is why this sort of patching system is ridiculous
and I still play games like starcraft which is like 10-11 years old, so don't say someone won't try and play this in that much time
mmm I picked up Gal Civ 1 at least four (maybe five) years ago, and it's still availble to be downloaded and updated via Impluse. At the time I purchased it Impluse wasn't the installation program being used to deliver the game, Stardock Central was. If in five-ten years time Impluse is retired for another program I have faith that Stardock will transfer the game over without a problem. I'm not sure what developers/publishers you are used to dealing with but Stardock is not your standard run of the mill developer/publisher. They support and stand by their customers, always have, and unless their is a massive culture change at the company (which I don't believe is going to happen anytime soon) I believe they always will.
I would say, everybody chill. When I heard about all the multiplayer connection issues going on, I figured it is going to be a month after release before it is working, so for now I just familiarizing myself with the Demigods, the gear, and the various upgrades.
So does that mean the game is dead? I don't think so... I think it was just released prematurely. But I think it has strong backbone of what will one day be a very solid and fun game--in contrast to something like Dawn of War II which had more polish on release but is a hollow trunk of a game. And I'm pretty confident Stardock and GPG are gonna be around until it's fixed. Well with this economy I hope so.
But quit expecting things to be up and running Monday, or Friday, because these things take time, and the more deprived of sleep they are, the slower it is going to go.
Yah, after 3 patches and still multiplayer is fuxored. I can't join any games, it just keeps trying to connect. What's the use in playing this game if you guys aren't fixing the multiplayer. I have had this problem for 3 weeks now, you apologize and yet do nothing. Ditch stardock hosting and go to GPG NEt, at least it works. I have been a supcom player since it came out, and now GPG is getting a black eye do to sweet bugger all being done about it.
man i couldnt play last night and it looks like tonight too. thats my weekend 
it says there is a patch available but of course its not, so i'm waiting just like last night with the patch. damn i want to play sometime this weekend
