Great to see the old star ship refitted and ready to fly again..

Talk about fantastic work! HG tremendous skill and patience are needed for this! I am so impressed...Being an old Trekkie, I can't help but love this WIP....I'd love a peek at Starfleet Medical!

I was asked an excellent Question and thought I would add the reply here too for others who may be curious..

Why not res independant?

This was built off of my Old DX Lcars theme which was built 1280x1024 res dependant, this was before the advent of Resindependant themes. https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=3806&libid=31

Unlike my average DX theme which incorporates one desktop, LCARS incorporates 9 interfaces in total, which are full page Gui's over laid like Virtual desktops, each hidden behind the others wallpaper until toggled in to view by the perspective Buttons, as well as the hidden logon and log off screens only seen during boot and shut down sequences.. Just bringing it down to 1280x800 I will have to do some massive editing to the theme, It will never fit smaller resolutions then 1280x800 as the images are just to big and to many of them to mash in to a smaller res. .

I'm building this Mod Per a request by Tim. Hes only been asking for a couple years now.    Last time I tried I lost 6 mo's worth of work when my mainboard took out my HDD. So I had given up on it for a while. I may eventually make a res dependant build for 1280x1024 and up, but this would necessitate larger wallpapers and precut backgrounds for each object which last count was over 300.

It designer and innovative. But it looks too simple for a theme having more than 300 objects. I would like to see it more styliish including glassy buttons and glossy backgrounds. Good luck and best wishes.

Super you are only seeing one of the 9 interfaces in the screen shots If you look here you will see there are 9 interfaces to the theme, each a full screen size page of buttons and animations,sounds,mouseovers etc. * they have been shrunk down to fit within this Image..***

LCARS on the Series and movies was only glossy due to the screens it showed on, the graphics were simple images.

But I could only see one interface and I had to give all my feedback seeing this.

Is this a new version? If so your very brave, I never finished the first one really, well I did then a new version of DX came out sigh.

OMG I have been looking for something like this for many years.  I never even knew that someone made one that looked so good.  I was a member of Starfleet the International Fan Organization more then 15 years ago.  When I joined, there where nearly 40 members of the chapter I was in.  It was called the USS Equinox NCC-584 the Waterville, Maine Chapter.  After years of parades, recruitment drives, movies, conventions and doing fund raisers for Big Brother's and Big Sister's and Ronnald McDonnald House.   We also had Ship pool parties, Chapter cookouts, and even became part of a convention security once or twice.  We had people who made very convincing uniforms and even make up artist who did a great job.   Every year we where asked to march in at least four parades in uniform.   I eventually made my way up the rankls to captain.  Starfleet still exist, http://www.sfi.org  only a cut back in physical chapters.  Eventually Paramount stopped producing weekly episodes of any form of Trek, and movies where few and far between.

As the economy of our members wained, and some members including myself where having family medicle issues membership started to drop.  My many years of insulin dependant diabetes took hold of my sight, and I ended up on Dialysis waiting a transplant.  I joined Star Trek Online, but still miss the old days.  It has been rough with the tourcher of waiting and finally getting a working transplant.

Startrek and the LCARS systems reminds me of the best time I will ever have in my life and would love to see this on my windows 7 64bit operation system if at all possible.  Do you have any idea if Wincustomize and your LCARS system is compatible?

I also used a add on with the high contrast to make my text in my directories lighter colors, mostly white or light blue and my backgrounds black. At times I have to hit CTRL-ALT and PRINT SCREEN to switch to see web site backgrounds.  I need to do this because my Diabetes has caused the need to cortorize my left eye and leave me with one eye that gets foggy at times.  I need the dark back ground and light text.  The LCARS environment looks perfect to me.

It would make it easy for me, as well and bring back great memories.  I hope this forum and Windows modification isn't to old and someone is still watching.

If this is no longer being updated, or if the subject is to old?  Is there anything being done for Windows 7 64bit that someone can point me to?

Wasn't there a previous thread, one with the LCARS theme? I seem to remember one not that long ago.
