Spirits are mighty lame

Just want to read peoples thoughts on this, not to take it to seriously and nerf them to uselessness. If you can't see the picture well, it's Oak's raised spirits. They have destroyed the citadel all by themselves The defenders were melee and could do nothing about it.

That's just one of the perks of spirits. If that was as horrible as you're making it seem it would've been changed by now. It's like playing Sins and then saying, "Illums are lame! They destroyed my entire fleet of light frigates before I could do anything!"

I nerver knew Spirits was mean to be a killer, thought they only there to boost the Oak but I guess I am wrong since 2d. It is fun to watch the spirits do all the job.

Yea if your being chased by an Oak full of spirits, and you stop to teleport - the spirits will RAPE you!

The same way that if you stop to tele for regulus he rapes you with snipe for the extra damage? Or if you stop to tele against unclean beasts stun on foul grasp?  sedenas pounce?  teleport when its safe and arm yourself with some AOE.  but i will agree that their damage needs a little cut, as is oak is possibly the best seige in the game.  but its the point of generals to be able to push multible places, but im pretty sure they out dps oak even when buffed, fun, lots of micro, but not quite fair yet.

Was their damage or number of spirits changed recently?   They were beating the crap out of me last game I played in 2D :P

It is pretty unfair that a small subset of Demigods can even do anything against air. We're looking to see what we can do to help get some anti-air in.

Spirits were one of the few special units that couldn't grow with the use of skill points (other than morale), unlike Erebus' Coven, Queen's Entourage/Compost, and Sedna's Horn of the Yeti. Now as the player progresses in Raise Dead Ward, the spirits grow in power.

Of course, don't forget that the spirits still do buff Oak through Soul Power. :)

The Oak player in that game uses Morale to buff his spirits - 4 dmg per spirit per level of morale equates to a LOT of extra damage.

Perhaps not a good example of stopping to teleport. But if you just stop moving in genera - for any reason -l, to capture a flag perhaps, they will rape you :D DPS is crazy high at times - that combinded with Oak's high DPS is very tough. I like how they are useful at the moment and I dont want them to become useless. I guess the idea of some anti-air for all Demigods would fix the problem.

No argument here, they dont chase well, but if used correctly they can almost deny a demigod from a lane, while oak pushes another.  One of the two needs a damage cut, and considering that they are ment to buff oak as well, i vote spirirts.  i like the idea of them increasing with power as you invest your skill points into wards.  but i havent lost a game with oak in a week, and ive been playing against skilled players.  i think that has alot to do with the character, not so much my ability to use him.
