OK im starting a new 'homely' race based off the TEC but with more Human type weapons: Railguns and Missles i am also working on putting a few new ships into the game! i need some help on working out the bits and peaces (sence i have never modded before) but if anyone has any advice or segjustions please i would love the help =)

 

Ok heres how far ive gotten i got rid of all the lasers and now all ships have only railguns or missiles

and most names have been changed,and some tweking to the tectree

I used the Marza because it looks the best in my opinion (new moddle in the works give me time)

i was planning to put a new race too.... 2 factions at least... first have the history of yur faction... then design ships!

Exactly! History will help you imagine the layout and general schematic of ships! Plus it sets the mood on the speciality of a given race.

Also when it comes to mod ships, be aware that the design that you initially want will probably not make the cut for the purpose you wanted it to..(personnal experience). Be ready to restart, destroy, re-alter files again and again...until you get the desired race.

Also something that is helping me a LOT!

Just make a basic sheet for every vessel you plan on incorporating: an example based on my Homeworld vessel for the Nephil:

This is the Nephil's home base, destroying it will break the bond with the asteroid it orbits and allow you to win the game.

Like you see, just a general overview of what you want each vessel to look and be like! Easily put into perspective, it'll show you, what you have, what you need, what you need to alter based on other designs.

thanks i just got my firend to jump on bord with me, also im starting buy working off the TEC race then tweek it till i git what i whant ive alredy got the terran battleship almost done just need a new mesh for it :D

Ok here it goes the history:

After mankind ventured out of there home galaxy the new terraforming of outside planets left them hundreds of new worlds to colonize and explore. After 300 years of expansion they met a strange new threat with new and unknown weapons and ships the war was started! Soon good ole human enganearing and inganuaty made the Terrans a force to be reckoned with they found that technology hundreds of years old (ex missles,perjectials) were perfered for space combat, having be more relaiable than the strage laser tech of there enamy.

 

Terran ships are loaded for combat and tougher than most other races, what they lack in shields they make up in armor and durabilaty. Along with the new replacation tech they repar faster than others as well.

now thats good to hear... well..... heheh i was planning a massacre... total ownage of mobile suits in the battle field... hehehhe.. every cruiser /capital shiups can carry atleast 3 mobile suit squadrons... heheheh *_*

Ok im working on some new railgun particales im also having troble with the new ship moddles im working on Modtool is beeing a pain in the but- also im working on the new terran battlestation kinda uber planet weapon/superwepon but seeing how ive got 40 more hours of work this week thangs will go slow for me o_O also anyone whant to give me a hand give a yelp (I AM NOT A GOOD MODDLER) lol
