Mod SDK Beta? :D

... on the modeling side of things?

Hey GPG/Stardock,

After poking around the LUAs for a couple of hours, I'm really excided to start modding this game.

What I'm really interested in now is the model file format. Is there any way you guys could provide tools for exporting (maybe even importing?) models for Demigod? And what did your artists use to create the 3D content for the game?

Well i know they all use 3ds max.

You could try the supcom 3ds exporter thing :P

you should have a look at the dev journals - they talk about what programs they used

I think that the file that is use is the Granny 3D file (GR2). You can use the Granny Model Viewer to see the models and animations, but I am getting scared seeing no exporters for 3DS Max >.<

There'll be exporters before we're done. They just don't want our mods causing bugs to distract from their bugs.
