Ok, you win, here's my money.

Ok, I must admit that I wasn't too sure about this game at first. The last 4x game I played was the sublime Alpha Centauri. So I shamefully admit that, yes, I did torrent this game. And it was good, with no annoying BS like having to connect to the internet to play a SINGLE PLAYER game? I think this is the first time a game has guilted me into paying for it. Bravo!

It is an odd compliment but I for one will take it. I actually watch the torrent threads on our games and was not surprised when seeing the Sins torrents how many people said "This is really great! I went out and bought it the next day!".

Either way I know you will enjoy the game and the expansions. Now that you are a customer should you need any help please let us know at support@stardock.com. Welcome to the Light brother. :)

Yeah man i know what you are saying, and let me tell you this is the business of the future, having such a good game that people will pay you to play even if they dont need to.

I hate Battlefield for making you connect to the internetto play a singe player, forcing your cotumers to make what you want is not a good way of getting thier money.
im tired of this gaming companies promising things they cant give and then expect us to buy thier games(most of them are just pure evil).

Of Course GalCiv2 is very diferent.

You're not the first one to make such a post. There have been many other posts by converts saying that they either liked the game enough to buy it, or stardock's business practices impressed them enough that they wanted to support such a company.

Anyways welcome to the community. I hope to enjoy your stay.

Edit: By the way, you didn't mention if you got TA or not. If you did, you might want to read TA 101:

I made nearly this same post on the weekend! Though I did briefly play Civ 4 since Alpha Centauri. ;)

Only I wasn't "guilted" into paying for it -- I wanted to give Stardock its proper reward for a great game!
