Expand the community!

It's really nice to see Stardock stepping up to the plate as publisher for Demigod, so I think the community should follow suit and show some initiative in order to boost the popularity of the game. Demigod certainly looks like it will cater to fans of both Gas Powered Games' previous titles and the whole Warcraft 3 DOTA scene.

January 28: I'm not dead! I'm alive! However, Demigod Guru is pretty much dead, sad to say. But this community looks to be more alive than ever, so I'm not too sad. I've moved the content over to Hellforge, which contains the interview with John "Scathis" Comes

I will continue to blog about Demigod over there.

Hi. I just wanted to let everyone know that the Demigod Wiki received a major redesign today, including a new logo, new skin and new main page design. Plus we're up to 68 articles, but there is still much to do. If you're playing the game, feel free to come by and share your knowledge with your fellow Demigod players.

If you need any help or have any questions, drop me a message on my talk page.

Cheers,

JoePlay

Not sure if it really qualifies as a fan site as it's a wiki.

Hey guys, just wanted to post a note about wikis. So, it might not be common knowledge, but wikis make the BEST fansites! Who else but fans would document every detail, categorize all the information for others to find, and collaborate on a level most sites can't touch.

We're currently building out maps and strats at the moment...so any information you can add is most appreciated.

Come help us grow the Demigod wiki :)

WHERE ARE THE COMMUNITIES ?

there are NO professional Fan-Sites out there until now !

All these sites, listened in this thread, are very dissapointing for me.

Other great games like SupCom, DoW2, Empire, Battleforge....have well done fansites....already before release !

I tried the wiki yesterday and added the Frost Nova page. I'll try and put all the Torchbearer this afternoon, if I have enough time.

I really like the site.

BTW, Where do you get the Big Skill Icons?

I'm thinking about making a Demigod fansite for the purpose of spreading/advertizing/talking about how great Demigod is.  I can host and make the basic webpage, but to really get it off the ground we'd need things like people who will make Demigod forum signatures to be used in other places, multiple people to write their own reviews (preferably funny things worth reading), etc.

Anyone think they'd be on board to contribute something to such a project? I'm going to have a fair amount of free time soon and I think it'd be a fun thing to do to help a game we like get past its unfortunately difficult begininng so that we have a lot of people to play with!

Edit: Also, there is a lot of potential for fan fiction and lore in Demigod.  Could put that up on the site too!

Communities need people, there were very few people during the beta (and subsequently not many people making content) so things have only started to get rolling in the past week since the game has become popular... This was the case for the GameReplays Demigod section anyway.

At the moment it is very hard to have a community site when the game is not up and running well. People can't play decent or action packed game to make friends of it. Right now it jsut seems like everyone is going through suffering and want to get this over with.

I was really disappointed that there aren't any good German fansites and in the end I started to create one by myself - actually I'm looking for some moderators, so if you're interested don't hesitate and contact me. In this early stage there is just this small board... lets see what the future will bring. There are already some interesting plans for the next few weeks.

By the way, someone has to be the first one who registers - don't worry if it's you.
