Little Green Men!

Just a little mod I've been working on over the past week. Also my first attempt at texturing, so expect B-movie level special effects as well as theme. If you can point me in the direction of a good texturing guide though they might improve by V2 :P

This mod replaces all pirate models with flying saucers with beam weapons, and the next version will include some additional ships for them if I can decipher this coding lark. To install place it in the mod directory and unzip. Requires patch 1.03.

To make it a playable race you just edit the player entity file. I believe the line is something like "Playable FALSE" initially for pirates. Just change false to true.

to make this race playable you might need to do some work on it, i got a minidump when i tried to build something

Very nice mod. Totally original and very retro, also cartoony, looks. I bet its a very fun mod to see in action. Good luck with any more you add to it, and any help, you know where we (modders) are.

Sure, you can add it to 7 Sins once I get them playable without mini dumping every click ;p It might even be easier to make it a playable race than make pirates use it from all the errors I've come across.

This could be a really fun race to play. This is likely out of the question; but why not a super-costly race for these guys? Takes up alot of command points but packs a punch.

They're going to have one huge mothership with as many beam weapons I can fit on, just the coding stuff really left to do until next release. I'm trying to see if I can maybe make it so the mothership build all the frigate saucers, partially so you get the swarm of saucers feel and partially so I don't have to model additional buildings. Not going so well though.

All the pirate ships, the pirate gauss cannon and the pirate planet.
