Odd issue with Galaxy Forge...

I used to be able to load maps and modify them, but lately I've been getting this:

There's nothing there... and the zoom is out to lunch !

Trying to find the galaxy is impossible, as even at a zoom of 1 or 2, there's nothing there... I can create a new map, and use the change 0 to a 1 to get it to load just fine, it's only when trying to open an already made map. I have some that I made I want to change, and I can't get into them... very frustrating.

Hello,

I have exactly the same problem.
Before patching to 1.03, this only occured when trying to open downloaded maps. But since 1.03, I get this problem when trying to load the original scenarios (maps).

It's got something to do with the version flag in the map. If it's set to 1 I get that error as well, if it's a 0 then the editor works fine.

You'll just have to wait for a new version if you need it to happen automatically. Either that or chnage the thing manually.

Actually 1 or zero makes no difference. I have tried both. It doesn't matter what type of map either, a DL'd one, a game one or one I created myself WITH Galaxy Forge... They ALL load this way. I guess I am out of the map making business for awhile...

Good god, we can't use..notepad to make maps! That's impossible!

(oh the good ol` days of beta map mapking :/ )

yes we can... we can use notepad to make maps the same way we can use good old pen and paper to work out a maths problem instead of using a calculator.

The point is that if the forge tool is fixed, then it will be easier

For anyone who reads this...i have found a reply by "PhonSiEtm" that works.
He said-----

To make a map you made in galaxyforge load in-game, open the map file with notepad and in the first or second line it would say "versionNumber" and the number 0 next to it. You must change this 0 to a 1. Save to Galaxy folder as usual and you will be able to run.

To open up dev maps in galaxyforge, do the opposite. (Open file with notepad edit the versionNumber from 1 to a 0 and you are set)

Of cource this is an inconvenience but it's not too bad

Cheers
