This is a little bit or Art done on the computer with a programme called Art Rage.....I am an artist and would normally be painting outside making a real big mess! Though having that the weather this winter is pretty dreary I have been stuck inside more than I would like and have migrated to computer art......though I had not done it for a while until I visited a blog of Historyishere's...he has also been enjoying a little computer art and has re inspired me to do the same. I highly suggest you visit it one of his many blogs......
I just wanted to share a little something that is a big part of who I am.....
As I do more paintings I will put them up here and would love it if you told me what you think about them and also if you also are an Art head too

The Crusaders (is it okay if I shorten that to TC from now on?) - Unfortunately I can only see the second and the last entry. But what I can see is fascinating. I used to paint and draw a lot, but haven't done so in years. I really like your use of different color schemes for the works I can see. They have a great feeling to them. Thanks so much for sharing.

Hello BlueDev....How are you?

TC will be just fine!
Actually, I only have the two up there at the moment...I am just having problems putting the images up there ...and can only get it to work by it turning out as it did above! Any useful tips...?
So...you used to paint and draw a lot ?.....What is stopping you now...?

Thanks so much for sharing.

You're most Welcome, Blue Dev!

If you have anything you would like to share I'd love to see....

Sadly enough, it is one of those things that I just let slip once I was so "busy" taking my college prep classes and stuff in high school. I still doodle all the time. Silly little things mostly. But I have fun with it.

Well you haven't stopped then....and the fact that you're having fun with it it the most important part....why do something because you feel you have to when you can do something because you love to!

Art Rage...what I am using, is freeware...you could probably download it from somewhere...you should have a look and have a go and maybe share a little of what you have done!!

I actually was so intrigued by your post that I did check it out last night. Fantastic little freeware program. By biggest drawback will be using the mouse exclusively. Doesn't control as well, but I will play around with it and see what pops out.

It looks like that because you are using html that looks like:

https://www.joeuser.com/(img%20border=1%20width=http://www.onepic.com/3/1095209902299849917.jpg)  (excpet with "<>"  instead of "()")

To add the image, just put: img src = "http://www.onepic.com/3/1095209902299849917.jpg" with a < at the beginning and a > at the end.

"Need" may be a bit strong.

BlueDev,
Yeah...the mouse is a little annoying at first but just like most things in life we get used to them...
I like using the oil paint with the pallett knife to get some effects just right....
Hope you have fun with it.

KarmaGirl,
....ookaay.......um.....maybe it might be because I'm a bit tired but....um...how would you explain that if you were...say....explaining it to a 10 year old....

What's a Wacom Tablet...?

Hi Sally...how's it going..??...I've just been downstairs.....I don't have the mental energy at the moment to continue our most interesting conversation ...but I'll probablly go back for a visit later.....See you there!!!

Hi TC...

A Wacom tablet is a peripheral graphics 'drawing board' kind of tool.

It's considered the best of the best of it's type and is a valuable tool for use with artwork such as yours, and for computer artists, gui "skinners", and people like me who dabble in all the aforementioned.

Instead of a mouse, you use an electronic pen with this graphic's tablet. It allows for very precise control overy every aspect of your artwork.

....and speaking of artwork, I love what you've posted so far, and would like to see more! (lol, that lower one looks like my dad....)

Wreckless Eric,

Well...I think I had better get my hands on a Wacom Tablet then!! Sounds like it would make the experience a little easier.....it's pretty dusty around here and my mouse is always getting jammed and stuck up with dirt.....makes creativity a little tedious at times...lucky when a major mistake is made you can simply click undo!

What are 'gui 'skinners''?

I will see what else I can put up......

GUI = Graphical User Interface. Skinning = Changing the way it looks.

That is to say, folks who create new ways for the boring old Windows desktop to look. New colors, new buttons, new menus. Pretty fancy stuff. I have written a couple articles on it with some pictures that you are welcome to look at. Or just head over to a site like wincustomize.com and look at the "Windowblinds" files. Some very cool artists making some very cool stuff for your computer.

Oh, and I have been playing around with Artrage, just nothing ready for prime time yet!

sorry I missed this earlier!

Awesome art, Crusaders. I hope you get the rest of the pic links to work. Or just post the links please.

Thanks for jumping in there BlueDev. I meant to come back and check this thread again, but could not remember the title. Cheers bud!

So, there you have it TC, ....have you looked at wincustomise.com yet? There's awesome stuff over there, ...take a look, if only for curiosity's sake.

It's a great site, with a lot of good artists and skinners contributing works. Have a look through the wallpaper section too. Some cool stuff there. Go easy on the downloading though, non-subscribers have a 50mb limit which can be gobbled up in one visit, if you download like I do!

This one probably not finished yet.....sometimes I think I'm finished by I end up going back and changing the entire picture.

Sorry, can't seem to get the image up there.....oh well will try again later.

Could anyone give me any tips on how to successfully put my pictures up here? Keeping in mind that you may have to explain it as you would to a child!

WrecklessEric,
Haven't had a chance yet but I will get round to it. Actually the weather has been so nice that I've been painting with real paints again....I have an epic going on outside (I looovvvvee painting outside) at the moment that will probablly take six months or so...it's about 2 and a half metres long by 1 and a half high. But my curiosity will get the better of me and I will check out your recommended site soon.

Glad to see you pop in Ravenblack. Don't have any links but once I get my head around how to put images up successfully I have a lot more to show!
