Wonders

Is there any where that I can find a list of the wonders, their functions, and what I need to research to build them?

Manual leaves all of this out.

Point me in the right direction.

At the same time, what do you feel are the most important/must have wonders?

Thanks in advance.

The wonders are good and lotsa of fun and are supposed to be unique structures and acheivements.

However...

...this is still broke. The AI will build wonders and trade goods even though you have built them first. Most annoying. But if a AI builds them first you are locked out of building them.

All my games are on hold till this one gets fixed. And so far the response to this major bug has been murky at best.

Yea, I am kind of surprised it hasn't gotten more attention. One would think this is a big problem. Unless they feel it unbalances the game towards the human player, and don't WANT it to work.. ;p

I just have my trading and cultural stuff on hold. I am playing my 'geeze i'm a wicked mean bad guy' military game.

Just had a game (049) where the Alexians built Gravity Accelerators. Later, the Alterians built it as well. It's definately a problem between Minor AI being able to do so regardless, and the Major being able to do so/finish.

Oh well. I abandoned that game because of the CTD every turn. Just got too aggravating for me tonight. I hadn't had that problem before 049. It's a great game and all. But I do hope that these CTD issues get resolved soon.

"Murky" is right. This is at least the fourth thread on this subject since the new patch and the silence from above is deafening.

However, I noticed the response was quick when someone questioned some off-color (meant to be humorous) filler material in one of the game screens in a thread that has since been deleted. Apparently opinions on butt references and AI nitpicks merit strong responses but a major broken part of the game doesn't need that much attention. :p

Dave, are you sure the thread is deleted? Or merely buried? :)

And there is a situation where, as a developer, you here your users complaining of a bug you know you fixed. It could even have been verified by QA as fixed. So you tend to ignore complaints and reports about that bug still occuring... as you know it's fixed. Users are often mistaken, you know. About what version they are running, etc.

Only, the bug is actually in multiple places, and you only fixed one instance of it in code. So...

Considering the level of support we have gotten from Star Dock, I am confident they will get this multiple Wonders/Trade Goods issue correct. In all the places it seems to occur.

Well, some things to consider:

The lack of response on these threads does not translate to lack of attention.

It's extremely irritating when someone starts telling you how to conduct yourself in your own business. Off-putting as well.

Finally, it only takes a few moments to reply to a message thread - so replies are essentially meaningless in terms of determining what people are prioritizing. Sort of a restatement of the first point, but.

I have yet to get far enough in a game to see whether or not the computer can build the wonders that I build. However, all my games were started under the latest patch.

I'll let you know how it turns out, because at the present time I am building the Galactic Stock Exchange.

I've yet to see an AI player build a wonder that I've built. But I only ever had two minor civs build a trade good that I'd already built.

http://www.galciv.com/index.asp?action=full&NewsID=264 :

"We're also working on GalCiv 1.03 which should be out next week" ... "We're also fixing some bugs that users have reported such as duplicate wonders/trade goods"
