Feature request for future patch

This seems a bit too complex for the type of thing they're asking for in the 1.03 thread so I'm putting it here. Sorry if it should have gone somewhere else.

Anyways, a feature that I would very much like to see in a future update is a menu that lets you prioritize what kinds of ships your ships should attack first, in game. Being able to set targeting priorities would be a huge help for people trying to manage multiple battles at once. It would also be nice to have the option to direct ships to either concentrate their fire or to spread it out amongst the entire fleet. Anyways, thanks to anyone who reads this.

I know the game already does this on its own, to a point. However, such a customization feature would be amazing. Especially if it allowed for different ship types having different priorities.

If they were to implement such a feature I think it would definitely have to allow different ships to have different priorities. Another thought, it would be really nice if we could have a button to select all fighters or bombers in a particular gravity well. Managing strike craft is a pain in the ass.

Sounds okay by me!

I don't know if it's possible at all by what the heck this is a only a request :)

I would like some data spreadsheets I can open over Planets and what's in them. It's very nice this we have on the left side of the screen, but when I have lots of planets in a huge map it would be better IMO width a popup kind of a spreadsheet for better overview.

I would like this info in spreadsheet:

- Star system (with a "go to" link on name)
- Planet name (with a "go to" link on name)
- Income/recourses (showing in green for positive and red for negative)
- Modules and types
- Amount of ships and types
- If planet have room for upgrades (showing in green for yes and red for no)
- If planet still have room for more modules (showing in green for yes and red for no)

Maybe way too difficult to make and ask for on this type of game - but I can still hope for some future update :)

That's a great idea Redion! In a large map it can be difficult to keep your planets fully developed. While a spreadsheet may be too much to ask, some color coding in the empire tree to indicate which planets have empty slots would sure be nice. The spreadsheet would be ultimate though...

Ya thanks :) If you know about the old "Stars!" you know what I’m into - but again this game was also turn based. Maybe a tad difficult to code into this kind of game here - don't know but it would be a great feature and help if possible IMO.

You can do this already - I believe if you hold alt while selecting a unit, it will auto-select all units of that type in the grav well. If it's not alt, it's control. (Can't remember which at the moment...)

It's alt, but I think he wanted a hotkey.

By the way, quoting on this forum sucks :(
