Fighters a counter for TEC and Vasari Seige units

It has been posted that Fighters get a huge bonus to LRM frigates due to their armor class. TEC and Vasari Seige Frigates have the same Armor class (light). Has anyone tested if they are a better counter than bombers?

Nope, but will do

You also have to take into consideration that a Fighter squad will get like 7 ships, while a Bomber squad only consists of 3 ships..

So what exactly triggers the fighters bonus? Hull type?

Advent Bombers Squads are lot more then 3 ships.

Advent have 7 per squad I think... Vasari have 3?
