Top Ten Reasons Sins ROCKS!

So why has this game, that seems to have come out of nowhere, taken the PC game industry by storm? I have 10 reasons!

#10 It's like a classic PC game concept made with 21st century production values.

#9 It's got the strategic elegance of Europa Universalis but brought to the mainstream through high end production values.

#7 It's $10 cheaper than similar new games.

#6 It doesn't have any on disk copy protection or disk DRM.

#5 It's very very innovative in game design.

#4 It's very pretty, especially if you turn up the graphics effects quality...

#3 The single player game's skirmish mode has tons of replayability options and The multiplayer #@%@ works out of the box without having to be a network engineer!

#2 It's published by Stardock so you know that ideas to improve the game may actually see the light of day sooner rather than later!

#1 It's an insanley fun and addictive game!

Great post. I agree with them all.

I think I would also add that Sins is bringing a lot of new people into the genre based on what I read.

Most of my friends won't touch multiplayer in an RTS because the minute they go in, they get raped by people who know some obnoxious cheese tactic. Barbed wire and tank traps in CoH? Annoying mini attacks in SC? Hero Rushing in WC3. In Sins, someone can actually play the game for awhile without having some stupid game flaw being exploited that's counter to what would be intuitive.

hah. you haven't lived until you've been barbed wire trapped into your own base in company of heroes.

This is the first Stardock game I've ever purchased, and they've instantly earned a place on my "favorite developers/publishers" list alongside other greats like Valve, Firaxis, Blizzard, and Irrational.

Yup, I played WoW since it was released until just recently. WoW ruined other games for me. Sins is THE first game Ive enjoyed since WoW came out. This is my first stardock game also. They really seem to have their stuff together.

Great Game!!!!

This is the best strategy game(Vs. a tactics game like most rts's) that I have seen for the PC, what is there not to like.

After rather busy week and having no time for anything yet alone playing games i have finally managed to squeeze couple of hours today and do my first online step...

-=XX=- vs AI ----- 3v3

I mean i am still not 100% sure but so far this seams to be one of the best, maybe even the best game i have ever played on any platform (and yes i am playing since ZX Spectrum and C64 days)...

Pure and utter genius!

Game was insane as well - really tight - however about 2 hours into the game Uruks grand mum tripped on his DSL cable and he disconnected :(

Since it wasn't a bug cant really blame anyone (apart from Uruks granny perhaps)

Funny thing is that even after this poo experience final sensation of utter gaming satisfaction remained fully!!!

Amazing experience :D

hahahahahaha

eeeeeeeeeee

THX Stardock !

I was pleasantly surprised with the price. I usually have to buy $60 games(damn xbox and live). Got more than what I paid for, feels like I'm stealing from stardock!
Also very much agreed with the other reasons. :)

It's not a language barrier thing. It's just some inside joke that started during beta testing, but I don't know exactly what the joke is, and nobody has seen fit to explain it to us "outsiders".

This is the only point I dont agree on...at all. A little...little step up from HW2 IMO. I got everyhing full, and...well just doesnt do it for me. Planets too small, ships dont have movable parts...turrets, the construction ships dont have a "construct animation" etc. Just little things.

Ill give them game thumbs up in the other areas...but not graphics.
