Selecting All Units of a Particular Class

I know you can do this, but its not in the manual or command list that I could find.

How you select all units of a particular class at once?

For example, if I want to select all the siege frigates in a particular system, what is the clicking that I have to do?

I know this seems like a stupid question, and I've been playing without knowing this for days now, but I simply can't remember and a quick run through of the tutorials didn't help.

you can also edit your user settings.ini file to , change the number of units able to stack, I edited mine from 10 to 50 , so it pretty much selects every one of the units of that type in the gravity well.

what if you want to select all units of type in the entire game? Alt only does the grav well.

It seems like the search function would be used for this, but most units aren't actually searchable.

I think, alt+click selects all of them in your view range. If you zoom out to see the entire star system, you should select ships at all your planets :P
