Psychedelic Rainbow colored would be acceptable to me... Begin the seizures for all! Truthfully I don't know, thats why I am not a developer nor artist, lol...

I think they should be colored corrisponding to the teams main color.

Sort of like how in Gal Civ each planet has an tint around it that corresponds to the races main color.

To those who asked me my problem.

That screeny there. Shows only THREE solar systems, which is supposedly one of the larger galaxy maps. Something about just three stars for a galaxy map feels odd to me. That's all.

It seems galaxy size is focusing on number of planets (that one shows 22 around one star) rather than number of star systems. Which is only three!

That's all I have a personal issue with.

The TEC's area (which is where this whole war is being fought) is just a small portion of the galaxy.

The address bar on e-mails I've got from Stardock states they are in Plymouth, Michigan. Ironclad are on the west coast, in Vancouver, Canada.

I think it would be Stardock's, seeing as Yarlen seems to be the head honcho when it comes to all things beta, could be wrong though.

Sins takes place in a relatively small area of a galaxy, not the entire thing (as the galaxy is a stupendiously big place).

They just took artistic license with the background and made it LOOK like a galaxy. They've said that if we really don't like it, we can figure out ourselves how to change it once the game is released.

Im fine with it, I like the fact that there are a few solar systems with lots of planets than many solar systems with just a few.

Considering how everything is going to be spaced I am pretty sure we will keep thinking that we are fighting in a much larger place than just a solar system.

Then I feel sad about that. I can't find that epic. Oh well. My initial expectation at the announcement of this game was a cleverly designed real time Gal Civ 2. This can be a good first step, either way.

Anyway.

I forgot about how stardock don't use universal time. I'll be having to stay up late to start beta-testing!

I expect it will be epic, given the perception of distance created by the ten minute travel times and the size of the solar systems. Now if only my email would arrive...

BTW, when I've started this thread, there was no FAQ, or it was quite undetailed - at least I didn't find the info I was looking for. Now there's quite enough info for me. All these beta reports, and FAQ's, and other stufff... And BTW2: me no likes RTS games, so probably I won't play it. PP
