Snap happy shots from an Antipodean amateur

I've not been on here much over the past few weeks. To be honest, I've been cheating a little on my JU friends by spending time on our Myspace site (www.myspace.com/jcronikal - for anyone interested) trying to increase the band's profile. We began 2007 with our three songs still at numbers 1, 2 and 3 in the JJJ Unearthed hip hop charts and at numbers 8, 9 and 10 in the Overall charts. We are very excited about the work this success will be bringing us in 2007 but more on that later.

I mentioned in a previous post that I'd received a Pentax digital camera for Christmas from my lovely wife. I've been snap happy ever since. The camera is so easy to use and had lots of helpful modes (like 'Sunset', 'Children', 'Portrait' and 'Nighttime'). It makes taking good photos really easy. I've also learnt a thing or two about presenting these photos with slide presentations etc. Below is one such effort, complete with captions.


I hope to be back to my regular habits very shortly. I am currently working on a couple of short stories I hope to post here soon. I am also waiting for San Chonino to come up with the next challenge for the JU Writer's club. I've still had no luck setting this up as a Blog group, though. Hopefully this will be resolved in the very near future. Anyway, hope this finds you all well and happy. Enjoy the slide show ;)

Great pictures. I love those flowers. I see your new place has a fabulous view of the city and mother nature.

You can't see it in any of the pictures but Toni is mostly blind. I have a lovely voice, though, and my dulcet tones sucked her in.

Yeah, I read about how bad the place you're living in is. Good luck with the move too. Moving is a bitch but if you're going to a better place, then it is worth it. And make sure you send that postcard with your new addy too. Don't want to lose touch with you, girl. Consider your message to Toni passed on too.

I've already written about the amazing bird life in our backyard. But we also have a lot of skinks and a large blue-tounged lizard living in the backyard as well. It really is a wonderful place to be living.

Thanks for letting the cheating thing slide. I just couldn't help myself and she was so damned insistent. I know I'll never find anyone like JoeUser and I should stop trying.
