I fail to see how enkera is useable... but maybe I'm just a winamp noob ... It's easy to design something useable, but making it look good is another story. So my vote goes for D-Reliction, and I hope the judges regard the aesthetics of a skin when judging this category, otherwise it's pretty damn silly. 1. D-Reliction 2. AR-7 (VERY close second) 3. ...

I'd be going for: Gold - EMP2 Silver - AR7 Bronze - No-Vita Additional - Enkera It's a pity Capsule II didn't enter in this category as it had a really good chance.

1. Enkera 2. H2O / GrayZ 3. Resurgence I've been using Enkera since the day I dowloaded it and think that it's gonna be a while before I change! - Maybe the color Enkera for Gold and Glory!

Sorry! Resurgence is redrawn! It's not in this category so it will be 1. Enkera 2. GrayZ 3. H2O -and "J_" try Enkera for a few days! It's more usable than you think

1: grayz 2: ar7 3: olympiadas somehow 20cecil seems to be the only one who sees the useability of grayz but if i'm honest, enkara is ueable, yes, but there are some which are pretty more useable than it!

20cecil, h2o is only entered for most creative and best themed, too

D-Reliction is the skin that I end my days on my system, since it was released.

The thing I liked about this category was the ability to really consider how much I would use all of the different winamp skins submitted. In this competition there have been some really creative and complex skins submitted - however, they are difficult to work with (at times) and can be so complex that they aren't really all that user-friendly. That being said, I was looking forward this category where I could take a look at the individual skins and evaluate how user-friendly and practical they are to be used. This is what I came up with: Gold - EMP2 Silver - AR7 Bronze - Copter Notable Recognition - No-Vita

I think Corbet should get a medal for having great design in the only category competes and can fight against Modern skin technology.

Try and stop and think about what "Frogboy" write! First he write The next one up is the most usable Winamp skin. This sets the category, right!? But then he write That is, at the end of the day, which Winamp skin do you think you would actually end up using? And that could be any of the 43 skins that's in the contest, right!?

I'm sensing bad vibes... anyways, I think I already explained why Dave and I entered this particular category, and I don't feel like explaining it all over again. I totally agree with people saying that there are other skins around that are more usable than Enkera. D-Reliction would be my pick, and I'm not just saying this because kript is in breed.

Obviously many will disagree with me, but I think that few modern skins can even compare to classic skins when it comes to everyday-usability, for the following reasons: -Few modern skins, in my opinion, have a design that comes close to the tight, intuitive component layout that Nullsoft perfected with their classic layout. -Classic skins use a fraction of the resources of modern skins. And after all, winamp is 90% of the time used as a background app - so it has to compete for resources with all the other programs, games, and other background apps that we use from day to day. You wouldn't expect a windowblinds skin that used 10x (or more) resources than a standard wb skin to win "most usable wb skin"...... -With classic skins, there's no need to get used to a new component layout every time you load up a new skin. So, my votes are (I won't vote for my own or my team's): 1. Bunker (very usable, yet as original and well-crafted as any skin in the competition) 2. Green Pixel Skin 3. Amnex

Give me a break people. I don't care who says Entera is their pick for 1st place in MOST USABLE, but let's all stop FOOLING ourselves here, Enkera is creative, pretty and over all well done, but jesus it's not USEFUL! It's eye candy, pop art, 1 day desktop material. There are alot of people here that do not correctly know how to judge the current pool of contestants. I am not sure whether to blame the author for selfishly putting this skin into this category, or the people for not knowing any better. I sense a real bad tangent with people's perception on what is useable. Bad form.

I beg of the judges to look to what is right in this category and to understand where most people's common sense take them. A big crazy shape isn't useable, useable is attention to details, innovative and sharp design, and overall at ease when you use it. It's something familiar, unique, yet common, a spin on things, with a tang of fanesse. Now I sound like a New York furniture catalogue, see look what you guys have done to me.

...and yes I second the motion for 20CECIL to stop flooding everything with diluted votes for things that tend to not even place in the long run. I sense he's just trying to curb a vote here and there for his friends.

Speaking of flooding ... Take a deep breath, Brother Rabbit. All these folks are entitled to their opinions, well informed or otherwise. In the end, it's the judges votes that count.
