fleet combat

vs one ship, BS

soooo, when a fleet of ships attacks one ship, is it supposed to go into the combat mode thing, or just supposed to stay in the normal tactical mode thing, yeah, that's describtive. anyway, cause for me it's staying in the normal mode for fleet-vs-one-ship, and that's kinda stupid. so this is either a bug, or stardock should fix that.

When I attack 1 ship or a planet I am still looking at the same view.

As far as fleet vs fleet, I havent experianced that yet.

In the interface section of the game options page there is a checkbox to "show full fleet battles only if both sides are fleets"--if this is checked you will get the phenomina you are writing about. You may want to see if this is the case.

There are settings in the option menu to turn the combat visuals on or off based on the groupings of ships. The groupings would be something like: single vs single, single vs fleet and fleet vs fleet, I think. I am at work and can not confirm.

If a planet has a Fleet Manager the combat is shown in combat viewer, even if defender is only one ship. Kinda stupid yes

There have been many times when that has scared me. By that I mean looking at a planet and seeing only one defender so attack it with a fleet of new ships to gain some experience only for the game to load up the fleet battle window making me think "Oh no! Did I accidently attack a fleet somewhere with my weak ships!?!?"
