Polygon Count (triangles): 4,888 / 6,882
Defuse Mapping: None.
Light Mapping: Everything.
Normal Mapping: Nope.
Ship Builder Hardware Mounts: Yep.
In-Game Hull Size: Large.
Time spent "making it so" : 1 hour / 2 hours.

Here is my obligatory conversion of the Galaxy class, along with the Prometheus. I admit that I have been struggling with lighting as of late. I just can’t seem to get the lighting quality that I want for these hulls.

Those of you who are planning on using this hull pack, please go here and submit my form so that I can track how many people are into this sort of stuff.

I am trying to keep the lighting consistent between the hulls, yet add enough character to each model to set them apart.

Also, I am desperate for more ideas for Huge Federation hulls. The Galaxy and Sovereign are clearly the largest ships in the fleet. Check this out. There is really nothing else that comes close in the federation fleet. The Niagra is “Ew”, and the Ambassador is “Blah”. I guess I will have to go with a couple of non-canonical ships that would fit in that size category. I could always cheat and say that the Federation captured some Alien ship, and then use another race’s design. Don’t tell anyone.

hey brian, got your email so i came to check it out, worked fine for me, when i see the prometheus it makes me think its the child of the eximus, and arkroyal, its kind of a combination of the 2 so i like it, ill check out some sites and try to find some ideas for you to use as huge hulls, you're right there arent that many other then what you have, but ill look for some non canon stuff and see what i find. i think the lighting on everything has looked great so even if you dont like it its been fine i think

found a couple ships, not sure they'd fall into the huge category and they are sort of similiar to some, but more ideas haha, and if you do a nebula class, that could probably be in the huge

Actually, the Nova class is miniscule-it would fall under the "small" category. Also, you finally converted my absolute favorite ship, the Prometheus! AWESOME!

Good stuff. I got your e-mail. The Dauntless and Nova that Josh showed both look sweet as well. I think that two huge ships may be enough though.

Anyway, great job. It would be cool to do a Deep Space 9 starbase as well. (Probably a mod to the economy starbase, since it was a trade based station.)

People are suggesting a fake ship be included? Is there any evidence the Dauntless is a real class?

Why is this happening ARRRGHHH!!!

try google and type in wikipedia list of Starfleet ship classes maybe this will work.
for the broken link to the nova ship type that into wikipedia or it should be on the list mestioned above.

stardock will need to fix these fourums before upgrading the game can't talk to no one here!

All great suggestions. Lots of lists to consult!! Some of those requested here are ships that I do plan on doing, so stay tuned.

I could do starbases (though I think all races would get the new models). I will consider it. Not sure if the mod architecture will allow different starbases for each race. Any ideas?

why dont u just do a tc it looks like yr creating the entire federation fleet so y not the romies and the klingons etc... all that really needs to be done is mainly create the ships. and chage the map around some planets and races etc...(some techs as well as improvements) ill be glad to help u in a tc if i know a little bit of xml (dont have any ship 3d model programs)

......i still like the Wells Class ship in alterans list ...but i'm a dreamer.....

As for "making" up a ship? i'd be down for that idea as long as it looked like a Federation ship (a little bit) atleast.

I say again - the Dauntless was a FAKE. It wasn't a Starfleet vessel AT ALL.

And the E-J is such a retarded design... but include everything - people with taste don't have to use the appalling ones.
