Sweet galactic achivement bug!

Ok I did this with Tri-Quan Trainign centers, but I guess you can do it with multiple achivements. I conquered a planet that was in the process of building a Tri-Quan, but I noticed immediately that I could still add a Tri Quan to building queue! I added it on the same planet. I waitied till one was built and rush bought the second. Not sure if it gives you extra benefit from having two, but it's pretty sweet bug if it does

Sadly enough I'm pretty sure it does. Although I usually build that waaaaay before anyone else ever gets the tech, so erm... yeah, it's kind of hard to replicate.

Building more than one Galactic Achievment is not a Bug?????

I can understand that you can capture and have more than one Special project - but a one of a kind Galactic Achievement????

It's a bug, it's just been around and hard to pull off. That isn't to say that they shouldn't put in some code to remove that item from all build queues (including your own, not just from other civilization). The reason they don't bother checking to see if you are building another one is because you were only suppose to be able to "add" it once. However, they failed to consider that you could capture worlds already building it. So if you were to capture 5 worlds all building that wonder (from 5 separate races), it is potentially a great exploit because you would be able to build 6 of whatever wonder in question.

@ Kalin - this I understand for the racially specific special projects that each race can build one of. I have heard of that one - and seen it myself.

But has this also applied to Galactic Wonders too that can only be built once by only one race in past builds?

Are you sure its a "bug". You can build your own manufacturing center, wait until you're opponent builds theirs, then take over thier planet. What I mean is, I think it could be that way by design?

Building a Manufacturing Capital is something that can be done by more than one race, hence that is not a bug. (I love giving the minor races the Advanced Computing tech right when I meet them, it makes them like me and later I take over their planet and remove other buildings to replace with research buildings, Super Tech Planet!)

Building a galactic wonder such as the Tri-Quan building is one of a kind period, no other races can build it after one does so that is a bug, and I wonder what happens if Its a trade good... Could you use it for trade more than once? I think I'd just remove it from the build que personally because it seems a bit cheesy to me, but hey, you play the game the way you want to.

Search through the Forums, on one of the posts about this very thing one of the Avatars got on and said it himself, "This is by design", like i said, surf around a little it's there.

I dont think it's a bug. You are allowed to capture enemy capitals, for instance.

I think the OP meant that it's a bug that he can have more than one of the same Galactic Achievement in existance at the same time, not to mention on the same planet. It's fine that several races can build it at the same time, but once one finished it, it should be removed from all building queues imho.

Yes, for super projects, each race can build one and you can capture them, so this is very easily done. But it also works the same way for Galactic Achievements, however, it is a lot harder to pull off, because unlike Super Projects, when you finish building a Galactic Achievement (or trade goods) the code goes around and remove that wonder/trade goods from all the other civilization that was building it (but not your own, because you were never suppose to be able to add two in the first place). So to pull something like this off, you would have to capture the worlds while they are building the wonder (before anyone has actually finished building). It's just a lot more coordination... but a bug nevertheless.
