My game is crashing more and more...

When I bought GCII (about a week after release via SD Central) I could play for days straight without issue. One game I had would crash every three turns and both Brad and CariElf were excellent with personally helping me figure that one out. I started a new game on their advice and uninstalled/reinstalled the game entirely through SDC. The first time you see, I applied the first patch via the site download and the second via SDC which may have caused an issue.
But now, the more I play, the more it crashes. Let me run down a list of things here.
1) I -did- update to the new Nvidia drivers last week.
2) I have -not- installed/reinstalled/uninstalled anything in the last week.
3) I have not moved a single file in the last week. Unless you count my email downloading to my PC and/or my Firefox putting things into it's cache.
4) But daily, for the past week, GCII has crashed more and more. It's to the point that I can't play at all. I start the game and there's the Windows popup (Send error report, don't send.)
5) Being familiar with the debug.err file, I notice nothing strange. No whacky starbases or trade routes, it is crashing before games, during games, and sometimes when I try and exit the program.
Here's hoping 1.1 saves me.
