Any way to change name without losing stats?

right now my name is a little out of date with both Civ4 out and galciv2 to be released civ3 has fallen to the wayside any way for me to change my name to somehting else without losing stats and credit for what i have already posted?

Changing your name doesn't change your stats, and your name changes on all your old posts.

Mind you, I don't remember how I did it, but I do remember that it didn't cause any problems.

The background color of my avatar is the same color as the background in the GC1 site. I should probably update that, too.

Most of the "credit" you get for posting comes from people knowing and remembering you for what you've posted. It's kind of hard to carry that through a name change regardless of the technical aspects.

This thread got me interested. Is there anything weird to expect when changing the nickname in the "My Account / Personal Information"? Or will it just work flawlessly for all the Stardock sites?
