1.2D is lacking all of the changes that it supposedly possesses (journal page says 1.2d should be same as 1.2e)

Mainly it illustrates the AI's shocking lack of ability to build even a halfway decent army. They prefer instant gratification over long term power. They build epic quantities of crap, rather than mustering their resources to build quality, large groups of well-trained, well-equipped troops. And, while quantity has a quality all it's own, an avalanche of crap is still crap.
Abandon all hope, ye who enter here: This is absolutely absurd, developers. Absurd. What's even more absurd is that the computer is so utterly incapable of building themselves a quality army, that I OBLITERATED THESE 86!!! UNITS WITHOUT A DAMN SCRATCH. Can we please have a limit on the number of units in a battle against a city?
I'm walled off from the rest of the universe (and it's resources). Oh, and by the time I research the spells to break through the mountains, Carrodus is on the other side, blocking me from expanding.
I mean, really, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?!?
Usual story, large map, no mods, no funny business, no save/reload from within game... http://dl.dropbox.com/u/21911701/Elemental%201.19M%20Error%20Rollup%2017%20Apr%2011.zip
If you capture territory or cities with the other sides mount resource already harvested, then you can get the other sides mounts.
Still here (same story, nothing special happening, no mods, no save/load hanky panky, just playing the game normally): http://dl.dropbox.com/u/21911701/Elemental%201.19i%5Brc%5D%20OOM%20Error%20Rollup%2024%20Mar%2011%202202.zip
Another batch of OOM saves for your Monday morning pleasure: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/21911701/Elemental%201.19G%20OOM%20Error%20Rollup%201816%2020Mar11.zip Once again, nothing special, just play the game, it just crashes, and crashes, and crashes some more.
It's worse than previous tries. Absolutely out of control, in no way, shape or form ready for release. Nearly unplayable. No, I'm not using any mods, I'm not saving, quitting and reloading, I'm doing anything weird, just playing on a large map, and watching the game crash, crash, crash. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/21911701/OOM%20Error%20Rollup%20Elemental%201.19G%2018%20Mar%2011%202337.zip
I'm still getting Epic amounts of OOM errors, stay tuned for a rollup...
Why is it dieing at 1.2 GB, why can't it even make it all the way to 1.5 GB before crapping out? I hope you don't release v1.2 like this, it's utterly unplayable (to completion) on large maps, and an excruciating exercise on a medium map.
Just to make sure you have something to work on this week, a dirty dozen of OOM errors. On one (the first) was a save/load thing, the rest were just playing the game normally, no mods, no funky stuff, just play until crash, large maps. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/21911701/1.19f%20OOM%20Error%20Rollup%2013%20Mar%2011%201926.zip
Yup, it's still here. All games were just straight, no mods, nothing weird. Just play game until it crashes, then restart, load last autosave, lather, rinse repeat. It's mildly better than 1.19d, but not what I would term at all acceptable. Some large maps, some medium. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/21911701/6%20Mar%202011%201941%20Error%20Rollup.zip
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/21911701/My%20Fruit%20and%20Bees%20are%20in%20the%20same%20damn%20spot.EleSav See the attached save, my fruit and bees are on the same tile, making one of them inaccessable (it's right by my capital city, FYI).
If you are still able to select stuff (it's not frozen), then it's likely that you have a unit on auto with pathfinding trouble. Find that unit, move it, and the turn will end.
I'm almost 100% certain it wasn't up when I posted... I guess I just have that kind of power ;)
Really? I must have totally missed this.
Any ETA on the next memory fix attempt?
So it's happening during the save right? Or is it just happening?
I assume it's happening during the autosave, I'm not 100% sure, it happens between turns, though. I haven't kept track of the turn count to know if it's autosaving that particular turn. I assume that info is in the debug.err?
Included here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/21911701/Elemental%201.19d%20OOM%20Error%20Rollup%2027Feb2105%2012%20different%20errors%20included.zip A dirty dozen error wrap ups, with debug and both autosaves. Both large and medium maps. I wasn't doing anything odd, no mods, no alterations, no quitting games and starting new ones without exiting, no loading games within gaes. Just open game, play game until it crashes, then open game, load autosa
Large map size (for the two games represented here, multiple crashes per game). Not loading games within games. Not doing anything special, no mods, nothing weird. The crash is absolutely inevitable. I CANNOT play a game without it bogging down in continual OOM saves. After I've reached the point of no progress in the current game, I'll try a medium map size. There should be seven or eight (don't remember exactly how many) c
A bundle of errors, debugs and saves included. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/21911701/Elemental%201.19D%20OOM%20Error%20Rollup%2025Feb2340.zip
I'm not sure who you are sending the files to. Can you link them here so I can check them out?
I've sent them to codecritter and the support@stardock.com address. I can't link them here, cause I've already deleted them. I've been zipping up folders containing the debug.err file as well as the associated autosave an
