When I try to use the cap ships special abilities, I see a message about a cooldown period. I wanted to know, what I can do to better manage the lack of energy.

Some realism. I would like to see star systems. When I enter phase space is because I am going to another start system. Think Master of Orion 2 and you will know what I mean. The star systems should be heliocentric with several satellite planets revolving around a star. In game progress report. I would be nice to know where I stand compared to the other factions while playing. Think of it like military intelligence. It would be good to know tech level, number of enemy ship
Some realism. I would like to see star systems. When I enter phase space is because I am going to another start system. Think Master of Orion 2 and you will know what I mean. The star systems should be heliocentric with several satellite planets revolving around a star. An option called AUTO SCOUT. Here is how it works. I click on a ship. Any ship. Then that ship goes out and scouts the galaxy. Then one of three things will happen. A.) Either the ship is d
Which faction can wipe out a colony the fastest? How many ships do you need to do this. How what tech do you need to research? Is it possible to take out a planet in a single shot?
Stupid noob question here. Ready? To exploit the Advent ship abilities, I have to stay close to the ship that fires the ability. Right? For example, the Mothership has shield regeneration so I have to stay close to the mother ship in order to get the benefit. What about timing. Does that come into play when playing Advent.
If I read the above correctly, it seems that the TEC are the king of the early game. The Vasari are the average at all stages and the Advent are the king of the late game. What do you think.
Good post. Which combination of special abilities work well together.
Great post. Which combination of abilities work best with the Advent.
So I wanted to master the Advent. I wanted to know, how to combine the capital ships abilities for maximum effect. Also, which ships should I get besides the capital ships. Regards
There are so many diplomacy threads that I did not know what to believe. Basically, I want to eliminate my AI opponents one at a time. So, what I want to do is to make as many friends as possible. The AI that does not want to be friends gets killed. Is this possible? If so, how do I make friends with the AI ?
Is there a way to tell how I am doing compared to the other players? My goal is to check tech level and ship numbers of the other players. Basically, I want to attack the weakest opponent. I especially want to monitor the number of ships the other guy has. If I see a sudden drop, it is time for me to strike.
Okay Vasari fans. Which are you favorite ships and why. What type of balanced combined fleet do you put together. I read at some post that who you are facing matters when playing the Vasari. In other words, you need to tailor make your fleet to fight your opponent. Is that true? If so, what ships do you use to fight TEC, Advent and Vasari. What weapon tech do you research when playing Vasari.
What capital ships "spells" do you like the most. So far the only success I have had is with the Kol Rail Gun. It does a lot of damage. What TEC capital ship powers do you guys like.
So if you are a TEC fan, what are your favorite ships and what combination of ships do you use.
Thanks. Is there a web page or thread that has these stats? I prefer to do my reading before the game starts.
It's not you. I experienced the same thing. I think the map is hard coded to attack you when you attack someone else. Try random maps. You will be much happier.
The manual gives a vague superficial summary of ship abilities. I wanted to know what facts. Armor strength and damage strength. Also and most importantly, I wanted to know more about the special abilities. Where can I get this info. If you have it, can you share it here in this thread?
Which Vasari civilian tech are worth researching? I have seen some post that said no Vasari tech is worth it. Others say some Vasari tech is worth it. So, which tech is worth researching.
Is there away that I can get a list of short cut keys? I see the short cuts ( like ALT D ) while I am playing but I am to busy trying to win to stop and make of list of short cuts. Regards
So how can you make the culture war work? Any suggestions?
Important question. What maps do you play when you guys do the above strategy? Large maps?
Tell me about it. I played a fully upgraded Advent. I had beaten the Vasari back into just one world. I controlled all the other planets. I had 4 broadcast centers near their last world. I also had the Deliverance Engine. I waited for a long while and nothing. No world flipping. I sent a scout to their system and I found their alliegence was 70%. So with a fully upgraded Advent, plus 4 broadcasts and the Deliverence Engine, if all that can't flip a beaten enemy,
I have several questions around trade ports. 1.) Do I have to have a 1 to 1 relationship with trade ports? Suppose that I have two worlds. And I build 3 trade ports. One port at my homeworld and 2 at the colony. Will the extra trade port at the colony not generate income? What if I build another trade port at the homeworld. Now I have 4 ports. A 1 to 1 ratio. Does that mean that the income starts flowing? 2.) How many are optimal number of trade ports? Or can I just build t
I was playing the Advent. I had beaten the computer AI back into one world. Also, I have reaserched all techs both hostile and harmony. At the front line worlds I have built 2 broadcast centers each for a grand total of 4. Also, I built the deliverence engine. Now I thought with all the propaganda I would flip this final world to my side. Especially when fighting the Vasari. The Vasari use slave for everything and I thought that I might create a slave revolt. So I have several
TEC Fans: What number of LRMs do you build? At what point do you reach the tipping point where the LRMs come into their own. Also, what upgrade do you research to make LRMs more effective.
