you are one of the best wb skinners. i always love cool, different & unique skins which makes me want to look deeper and you have made so many and i really enjoy them. will be sad to see you stop making it, hope your personal life goes better. please don't take down your gallery, too many cool skins will be lost, it's your legacy, maybe in the next 15 years someone will come & update them for the next os & will happily use them at that time (..and someone else will come

considering the time & effort it takes to create a wb, i don't mind seeing 10/10. wb is dead, these days even a free skin is not widely downloaded. many people are more interested in social media & other stuff than spending time to create a wb which is time consuming & doesn't provide any financial benefits (for non master skinners). coupled with the lack of effort from stardock to promote its products, it is not surprising that something like this happened. so
When using any theme it breaks my taskbar, start menu and start button. I know how to block start button/menu changes but not taskbar. How can I make it so themes can't change my taskbar? you already know you made mistake with your image, the "backwards" is because you didn't make every frame the same size and you need to edit it. just open ps, open your png, shift the images from the wrong place, so that every frame will have the same size, save, import. come on, no need to blame the tutorial you followed, forget the tutorial, just focus to fix your image, do something, edit your image.

start menu > left hand side > program list > click "+" layer > import png for additional layer 1 > go to tab "painting" & set the margins start menu > right hand side > places list > click "+" layer > import png for additional layer 1 > go to tab "painting" & set the margins can you understand? no? good, let's wait basj to elaborate more so that he can stop hiding [e digicons][/e] that's very nice of you basj,

i also agree with both basj & don5318, but the question is about glyph, even the title is glyph [e digicons][/e] also it's obvious that op haven't had many experience with sks which will be more difficult for me to explain how to use additional layer. not to mention my broken english will make things more confusing for others [e digicons][/e]

39 Replies 89,559 Views

if i were you, i would put the glyph on the bottom right. no need to put part of the glyph on the left because most part of the glyph will be covered by your big icons, it won't look good. also when you resize the image don't forget to tick 'constrain proportions' so that the image is not distorted. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums

i dont understand what you mean. have you solved it or still have problem with it? i never read any tutorial, i learn by looking how others made their skins, looking at the images & checking the codes is enough to help me to understand. if you still have problem with it, you can send me your image, i'll see where the problem is.

39 Replies 89,559 Views

copy paste this to replace your code in the code editor tab: Trans=1 PerPixel=1 TopHeight=0 BottomHeight=0 LeftWidth=0 RightWidth=0 Tile=4 LoopOnce=0 LoopBackDelay=0 FrameCount=16 AnimTimerRate=80 MouseEnterStartFrame=5 MouseOverStartFrame=5 MouseOverStopFrame=15 <-------- depend on the frame number you want to stop & loop, can be your last frame or

39 Replies 89,559 Views

it doesnt mean that you have to always make 16 frames, you can make 100 frames if you want to [e digicons][/e]

39 Replies 89,559 Views

you can always learn from skins that already made by others. extract the images, look at it, look at the code, you will figure it out.

39 Replies 89,559 Views

it means your image is too big, resize it a bit smaller, also leave enough blank area at the top and bottom part

39 Replies 89,559 Views

you can use tga (png), cut the png to 2 pcs, put 1 on the left, 1 on the right & play with the alignment.
The only way I know of, is to do it in Windowblinds under "modify", I could be wrong. Only thing is, if you are only wanting to change fonts in those two areas, then I'd say there is no way, but, if you are wanting to change font's/text for the whole skin, then Windowblinds would be the way to do it, again, I could be wrong.
