Demo

I love the idea of the game

I was wondering if there would be a demo. While the game looks great from what I can tell, and I like the reference to MOO2 (the best space empire builder so far), I also remember purchasing a real dog called Moo3!!!! I would just like to take it out for a short test drive before I buy it. The thing is with 2 little boys my gaming time consists of maybe an hour or two every three or four days. I need to get the best bang for my buck!

Here's the short version: The game comes out February 21, and some time after that a demo version will be created.

If you like civilization 4 this looks a lot like it. The first galciv is basicaly civilization in space, hence Galactic Civilizations. Good games you might bide your time whith if you wait for demo: Dungeon Keeper 2, Populous the Beggining, Startopia, and Red Baron 3d. Dungeon Keeper 2 has never been surpassed and you can easily pick it up for 10 bucks, would be good for the amount of time you have each sitting. The other two are similar, Red Baron you have to like flight simulators for but it offers a crazy amount of replayability and randomness and you can download it for free. Railroad Tycoon 3 is awesome too, so is Chris Saweyer's Locomotion (again two cheapos). Dungeon Keeper 2 or Railroad Tycoon 3, those are the two best strategy games in existance. (I sold Civ 4 after it told me I was Abe Lincoln and I nuked Alexander the Great, not much to aspire to after that, I guess I should have nuked Ghandi too but that seems so obvious).
