Well another question is: Will the upgrade + patches for the englisch version work of the localized german one?

Stardock has said they plan to include all languages with the patches (as the translations are completed), and which language your copy will use is just determined by a registry setting at install time.

good to hear that they make a localization of the game...to wirght, speak or read english in normal situations are not the problem but when i want to gamble it is more nice in my own german, specialy this game with tons of wirthen informations you have realy to understand.
We have to wait till 17.03.06 to get GalCiv2 in Germany ...sorry but the goodys are not nessesery for me I WANT THE GAME
Ähm a ather question byside...i buy years ago GalCiv1 it's still on my PC but in a backup area i want to play but something is not find so i will reinstall and lucky...i find the CD... but...unlucky not the bookled an not the coverbox and so i can't install the game again because of the Registercode.. but anyway i wait till the new and mucj more betterone will be arived.

Well, if you have register the game on stardock server, you should be able to do serial lookup on the e-mail adress associated with GC1 serial ID.

Thx for information ..but it was 2002 ähm or 2003 i don' remember and meanwihle i change my e-mail-addy but anyway i will wait till GC II will be there than is ok and fortunable in few days Empire at War will be out so i have to play more i can normaly handle..for that i will finsh my WoW gambling...it goes meanwihle borrwing all time the same and it look like it will be very simulary to DAoC they wond to impliment Heroclass and level 70 and they only make instanzes for 20 or 40 players..for that reson only powerleveler will have fun for littel groups is nearly nothing new ..but this is a anter game and a ather story
