Buy Online

and get localized version?

I have read in an interview with Brad that he plans to make patches for localized versions available via Stardock Central and that the language is only defined by a registry entry.

Does that mean that I can buy the game here online and I can still get a localized version?

Well I am looking forward for GlaCiv2 still some questions:

- I live in Germany though I would like to buy the game in Germany. (less hazzle with taxes etc.)

- A localized version is announced for the 06.03.2006 . Still I remember the problems of Glaciv1 regarding patches etc. I think up the end the never got the latest patches.

- Question Nr.1: Will the localized versions include the englisch version though I can upgrade via stardock central?

- Question Nr 2 .how much is shipping and handling to sent an englisch version from the US?

- Question 3. If I preorder will I get the gadgets Frogboy announced in some interview?

- Question 4. Digital download : How big a file is it? How do you handle the topic of import taxes with digital download?

Well thats all. Could you perhaps create a sticky thread with questions regarding buying / preorder?

Hi,

well I live in Germany, too. I preordered GCII (electronic download directly via Stardock) last year to get the Beta. And since i want the game in english anyway, it seemed like the best deal. Apart from that, by bying the electronic download you don't have problems with taxes. A year ago, for instance, I bought GC I Altarian Prophecy also as download via Stardock. I only paid the prize converted to euro & a very small fee that the creditcard firm charged because of the different currencies. I think only when you buy it physically you have to pay custom charges.

Hope that helped.

That I don't know. But I read somewhere here on this site that the patches will be available on SDC as localized Versions.

Maybe you should mail stardock customer support and ask them directly.

Short answer is no.  The initial version available for download will be English only. Future patches will include all the localized files, however.
