Question for all you testers

I have now just started to play the beta and have a question about population caps on planets. How do i know when the population has 'maxed-out' on a planet and i need to build improvements? Is there somplace in the game that tells me where please.

When your population number equals the food tonage you must build or improve farms.

You home world produces 15 food and caps at 15 billion without a farm. New colonies produce 3 food and the population caps at 3 billion if you have not built a farm. A zero bonus basic farm produces 8 food and raises your pop limit to 8 billion. Bonus squares, farm upgrades or additional farms make higher limits possible.

Don't forget that these numbers are from the beta (december build) and may be subject to change since lots of people have been complaining about the problems to keep a class 10 homeworld with 15 billions happy taxpayers.

Yeah, expect change all over the place My "optimal research order/build order" went out the window a week or two back.

When the live GC2 is released, you'll want to re-evaluate any habits/assumptions you formed while playing the beta.

That might be the hardest part! But I'm willing to do that sacrifice.
