Order issues...

Help, plz...

Alright,
I'm new to TBS games and GalCiv2 looked like my favorite web-based empire building(TBS?) games put to 3d graphics..so I submitted a retail order... well I got an error and the page said to try 1 more time with the same information, and if that didn't work to e-mail support...

OK, so I tried it a second time with the same information and it didn't work, so I emailed support with my error... well, I have not gotten a reply(and its been days) from support... but apparently even when there is an error in the order the charges go through!

I see charges on my card's transaction history for $44.95..the exact price of GalCiv2, right? and since it is still pre-auth I have no clue if it is actually from the galciv order but being as the transactions went through on exactly the same day and are for exactly the same ammount, it must be...anyways.. I would like to know why I have gotten no reply to my order error, and why I am being charged for 2 orders when the order process never completed?

Thanks for your understanding and what I hope will be a great game...

Do sales reps, or reps of any kind even read these forums? Also, what are the "referrals" numbered at the bottom of the post near the Add a Comment button?

Sorry if I seam a bit impatient, but being charged twice for something I haven't even received kinda does that to us poor college types the budget is pretty low as it is...lol... thanks for any help resolving this...

Developers (including the CEO of the company) read these forums all the time. I believe Frogboy said that the guy who answers those emails is on vacation this week. But a pre-auth isn't a charge, and they won't actually charge you until the game is released next month, so you've got some time to sort it out.

Unfortunately our main sales person is on vacation this week.  So the person that is filling her spot is a bit behind as this is not her normal  job.  And no our sales staff does not read the forums.

Anyway, I was able to look at  your order information and was able to see that your two Pre-Authoration attempts and was able to see that they were both voided do to the errors you mention.    This means that your Credit Card was not actually charged.

If you still have any concerns please be patient and wait for our sales staff to respond to your email or contact your bank to get further information on your purchase attempts.
