Order Problems

First of all, sorry if this is not really the place for it, but I am looking for a little help from a Stardockian.

I tried to pre-order an electronic download of Galactic Civilizations II but had an error because of my credit card address (I automatically put my address in Thailand when the card is from the UK). So I redid the form with the correct address but then it brought up another error.

Anyway, I have now sent 2 emails to sales@stardock but havent received any reply.

I want to know if those mistakes have been registered and charged to my account.
I also want to make sure I have a pre-order for the game.

Any suggestions of people to write to to get confirmation on this? I'm getting a little frustrated to not hear any response, even just to confirm my email.

Hi Spearthrower,

The person who handles that for us is on vacation until late next week, so please be patient. Your credit card won't be charged until the game is released, so we have until late February to get things sorted out.

if you wanna check if you have the game cant you try registering it with stardock central? (downloadble software that handles all stardock software) and seeing if it works. i dont know if thats possible or not since theres no public beta to download anymore.

Hmmm, I dont see how... I don't have anything to register?

I'll just be patient and wait for the vacationer. I am assuming that my credit card was not charged and no order was actually placed.

I hope I will still be entitled to get the pre-order bonus material ( Additional ship components, the Galactic Civilizations Desktop and more.)?

Well, if you haven't a valid serial Id for GC II, you won't be able to do anything.

That was really the point of the post. If I had received a valid serial ID after ordering it with my credit card, I wouldn't have bothered making a post about it!

What happened was that the order seemed to go through and I received no confirmation, serial code etc etc.

I think you will get the a mail with a serial Id when Stardock will decide that you are entitled to download the game. Since the beta is closed, this means the day of the release on Stardock Central.

Go to https://www.stardock.com/support.asp and fill in your details (email address) again.

If it was processed already but you missed the email this should resend it again with your serial.

If you do not receive the email send a mail support@stardock.com and explain what has happend.

If normally get very fast feedback from them and they even changed all my registrations (Stellar Frontier, Galciv I, Object Desktop etc) that i registered on different email address to just 1 email account.

In Stardock Central you can login with your email address & password to get access to everything you ever got from Stardock and no serials are needed anymore if you do this

Yeah, I requested a mail with my serials from stardock central. And since I never bought any of their other software I got a mail without any serials. So I guess Peace Phoenix is right, I'll get the serial when they decide I can start to download the game

Then your order probably didn't get through. But I'm sure Stardock will sort it out for you soon.

You won't get a GalCiv II serial number until your pre-order is charged - you'll just have the order ID number from the receipt. If you didn't get this, odds are pretty good that your order didn't go through.

Damn.... that 45 dollars sure goes around huh?

Right, following that, I have re-ordered the game and I now have an order ID number. I just had to leave my mailing address as my parents address in the UK..... the address of my credit card! You dont cater for us international jetsetters do you? Just kidding, I should have worked it out much earlier!!
