can't install the latest update

I tried to download and install the new update but ran into this error.........


there was an error installing Multimedia for the galactic civilizations II. the following error occurred:

error: failed to validate your subscription or product infromation.

result: Intallation failed (9)

would you like to view the installation log file?


...............................How can I not have a subscription if I have all of the previous versions of the beta? Now I can't play the game at all....I can only get to the main menu....and it says "loading"......that's all the further I can get....Help.....I need to get my galciv fix...

I fear you have tried to download a gamma version. Only people with diplomat access (ore greater) have access to the gamma.

Have you tried to check oof "show prerelease version"? That should give you the latest non-gamma version. But I am not sure if it will works for the multimedia pack

In SDC, does it show an available version to the right of Gal Civ II? Also, what version does it show as installed?

I have same issue. Checked SDC this morning, just to see if any updates, and received the error. Not an issue on our part, rather there is something jacked with SDC.

Yes it shows an available version on SDC.....It'll let me down load it but then errors out when going through the install.....when I try to play the game(and it hangs at the loading screen) and says that I have version 0.95 beta 9
