BETA Testing Tools - AKA Cheats

are there any beta tools that we can use to accelerate the research times, build times, change player attributries. Tools that allow one to manipulate both the player and the CPU opponents would be useful.

Thanks, sorry if this has been covered already. Just shoot the noob.

Ctrl-R instantly gives you the tech currently researched, Ctrl-M gives $10,000, Ctrl-T teleports the selected unit to the mouse cursor position (found these by accident in Beta 0.81). Some other combinations resulted in a CtD though...
Would be nice to have an "official" list.

Useful when you are:

A. Nearly wiped out and needing to carry out a game

B. Experementing with combat

C. Bored

In addition to the above you can also edit the game data files.

Or.. edit the CurrentCustomRace.raceconfig in My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2, look for something like
< ECONOMICS >10< /ECONOMICS > or < RESEARCH >10< /RESEARCH > and pump it up to
< ECONOMICS >100000< /ECONOMICS >... You'll never go bankrupt again...

(Still, be carefull with setting research or manufacturing to high as that will make you go in the red...

shoot the noob oh i love this game. yea... manipulating the game is fun. make you feel hacker like. i think u can also get rid of the other races techs too but then again i think the major races have safe gaurds againts it so the game wont crash if you do that
