Starbases???

I was just curious, I have seen some screenshots and it shows star bases which do not seem to be around a resource or planet. Are you able to build starbases anywhere in space/on the map???

Yes, but you need to respect a certain distance with other starbases not build on ressources.

To be exact you need to build them with 3 parsecs (tiles) of space between each other
