Hmm.. interesting how many bugs are seen before right before release

those bugs are going to be fixed in the gamma realeases which we dont get to c plus the whole last mountt of the games developement is going to be polishing everything up and hunting down every single last bug they can find before it goes on release

Even if they miss it during gamma release, if they're doing things like they did with GalCiv 1, they'll offer a full year of update service with GalCiv 2. They had patches with bug fixes and game tweaks coming out about every 2 to 4 weeks. You'd just have to send them your current savegame file, and error report file from SmartException, and they'll look into it. They even have a chatroom on Stardock Central you can go to talk to them about error and bug problems.

Do you mean we have to pay money every year to get updates to games that we already bought! If that's true then stardock sucks!

As previously said:

The year of free update is for bug fixes and free expansion. After that, you will need to pay for the expansions that may come. But you don't have to pay for bug fixes.

BTW, any company needs money to live. And I don't know many company that relases FREE extension for their games.

I've never heard of a company putting out bugfix patches for a game that was more than a year old. With the original GalCiv, Stardock regularly put out minor updates for a bit more than a year. After that most of the new stuff went into the expansion pack, but they never charged for bugs they fixed.

Well, that's how good of a deal Stardock is offering us. A full year of free bug fixes and tweaks. Very few others give you a years worth of those. For GalCiv 1, they even put out one free expansion to the game that you could download via Stardock Central, which is also a free program that you can download and log into using the same log in information that you use for this site.
