Has anyone played a game that had a life force resource present?

It was gone before release.

And after poking around with the .resource data file, I can get the Life Force resource to show on the map, but it has no effect, even when mined. It's been nerfed within the executable.

So there's no way to bring it back at this time.

It would be nice to get that effect back, you know like a way to contrarrest the nasty event when another race discovers that precursor technology that makes them almost invincible.

A PQ resource might be unbalanced, but there are lots more resource types that could be added. You could have new resources for:

Cultural resistance
Diplomacy
Hit points
Military production
Population growth
Repair
Social production
Soldiering
Trade
