Death

It's on my mind...

Death has been on my mind a lot recently. Can't seem to shake it. I keep thinking about the fact that in 150 years time every single person in the world alive now will almost certainly be dead, and then I put that into the context of the history of the Earth and...well it's not a jolly thought is it? More alarmingly, as I drift off to sleep I've started focusing on my breathing, realising that each breath I take is one breath closer to my last - another one has been used up. This kind of thinking isn't good for the soul, and I wish it would stop.

sounds to me like you need to replace these thoughts about death with thoughts about something else. Like LIFE. whenever you sense your mind starting to think about death, correct it. Think about life instead. fill your life with positive energy. listen to uplifting music, read something spiritual that raises you up. thank God for those individual breaths that you're taking instead of counting them as another one used up.

make the most of the ones you have left.

you know if technology keeps advancing the way it is have you ever thought that you might be able to live longer than previously though lets imagine for instance this whole cloning and stem cell research overcomes the ridiculous ethical boundaries that have constricted it to this point science will have a way to regrow your cells into anything you want them to be or replace them... the advances in nano technology could theoretically produce a way to alter our won atoms... there is plenty of stuff out there in the net that will back all this up but just think instead of 100 years if your lucky you would get 250 years of life this is definitely something to look forward to within the next 40 years granted we live till that age...
