Well yes, i've handed my resignation later last friday. I'll be definitely off work as from the 15th of August 2005. If i had said that aloud my voice would have broken. I'll leave to New Caledonia, which is an hour flight away from here. But which is a total different world all the same.

In one way, I feel relieved, that's true.

I'm tired of nightclubs, and alcohol, and doing things that are supposed to be fun but that i dont enjoy cuz i dont seem to see the point doing them without him.

I know, i know, i'm pathetic, but i'll get over this.

I have great hope and expectations for this near future. I will be like the phoenix, i will be born back from my ashes... The end of this era means the begining of a new much better one, i'm sure.

It wont be easy at first, i'm well aware of that. But the fact that i'll have the moral support of my family will do alot. I need some serious heart nursing and a lot of cuddles and demonstrations of unconditional love. I miss that way too much, and no one here can provide me with that.

There's great news too. My brother's girlfriend is two months pregnant with their first child, HOW EXCITING IS THAT???? I'm gonna be an aunty soon :D

So yep, i'm convincing myself that this is the best move. But i know it'll shutter my heart into tiny sharp pieces to leave this little island paradise...

OH IG this is good to hear. You finally made the leap! It will seem like it's the wrong thing but in your heart you know it's the right thing to do.

A new journey begins and it will be strange even hard at first but I'm sure in the end it will be worth it. Take baby steps and live one day at a time. Plus you can always visit can't you? The old haunts, see old friends. And who knows, you might even visit with a new beau!

Thanks Danny, the bad thing is i dont even know what to do to make this last months special. I'm just doing the usual things, and that is what i'm gonna miss the most.

Dont worry, i'm doing lots and lots of savings. I've already got enough money to furnish a small appartment AND get a laptop and phone. So i'll finally have a connection at home, yay!

Heh, yeah, finally. My brother is so happy that i'm moving over. He's always been protective with me, but now i really need to be nursed and protected. I'm looking forward to be closer to my family. Lots of people say it's great but they talk behind my back and say i'm giving up a good job, and life over there is so and so. But i dont care, i'm doing my thing now.

I don't think you're pathetic. If anything, you're courageous for taking this step. I'm sure you would have gotten over D in time, but you're helping yourself, on so many fronts, by moving on. Nah, it would only be childish if you couldn't admit to yourself and others why you are making the move. Either way, you are doing it for yourself and that is good enough a reason as any.
