Stress, anxiety, and other issues...
-Or- Shit that people have to put up with.

Stress...it comes in many forms. Anxiety, frustration, anger...just to name a few. This time of the year appears very stressful, especially for highschoolers, with prom and exams and worrying about grades. I know I'm a bit frazzled lately...and many other people seem to be as well.
I am currently learning about stress and the like in my Psychology class...and the thing that is creepy about that is I am applying it to real life. Around me I observe so much drama and other stressors. Prom is coming up and as you know, hormones get to actin' up...especially during spring. A certain friend of mine has a blessing and a curse...girls swarm him like white on rice. He doesn't like it...and while he tries to have a decent friendship with all of them, they are at eachother's throats all the time. Girls, can't live with them, can't be straight without them. My poor little friend here has asked one of them to prom...and of course the reprocussions have started not 24hrs after the fact. I know of two girls who are quite agitated to the prospect and I advise them to chill, it's his life and if your paths meet later in life, then you can see what happens. He doesn't need the stress...and I'm sure the girls don't need to put themselves through it.
Next on my agenda, coping with stress and anxiety. As our stress rises and when bad things happen we need someone to open up to. Social support is what we like to call it. What I've seen around is a great heaping load of really, really bad support. What I mean by that is, even though your friends mean well...they don't quite know how to help you out of a sticky situation. When someone just boasts that they knew "it" all along or yell at their "friend" to quit bitching, that's not quite the support people are looking for. Here's something for you all to chew on...when you see someone stressed out, go and find out what's wrong with them, talk and most importantly listen...it's best not to try and beat some ideas into them, but just be there when they need you. Who knows, that may even save someone's life...depends on what kind of problem they've got. If you are someone who is having problems/stress/anxiety then find a good friend or two...even if you don't think they would be good at that kind of thing. (Let's just say in these past few months I've found that I've got a knack for helping people...or at least listening....so, if any of you guys/girls, that I know, have something on your mind, I'm there for you.

Well...that's about it for this article.
